The Gay Community & AIDS a quarter of a century later

The terms
Terms such as “right” and “left” are used here to refer primarily to their American concept and structure, therefore do not always sit comfortably and logically in the rest of the world, even though the rest of the world adopts them and learns to live with them, and the inherent problems they pose, especially the American reality of a very powerful religious political wing, that is only particular to America, and though similar political structures are found in other parts of the world, they do not wield the outright political sledgehammer as they do ther, however, the rest of the world seems to have had to adopt and accommodate to this fact, as if it were our own reality as well. This has produced a state of visible total schizophrenia in all camps involved in the AIDS problem especially outside of America, where as soon as one questions all or some of the reasons and motives, from cause to solution, in relation to AIDS, one comes up against one fact: we outside have little real clout, as it was all concocted, imported and sold to us as a ready package we had to just accept, and our unease and at times incomprehesible dismay with many aspects of it, are due to this very important, yet totally ignored fact.

The entire AIDS debate is based on this political reality.

Right to Left from GRID to AIDS
Take the HIV virus and its mythology out of the construct known as “AIDS”, and it’s relation to the gay community or gay politics, and what are you left with? A small group of people, who in the 70’s took far too many drugs, lived a certain way and indulged in certain practices and just got sick as a result. The rest is mass hysteria, fear mongering, lies, genocide, homophobia, racism and substantial political and economic profits for a few and the birth and total take-over of the gay community of “queer” politics and ideology.

Here is how it more or less happened and how it has been held up till this day. It all started in America in the early 80’s, and was exported to the rest of the world as a package, ready with it’s own political structure, new brand of science, mythology, marketing strategy, it’s own language and also it's own final solution. In Europe it was not until the early 90’s that we started to see the machine operating on home soil, before then it was just a lot of fear-mongering, protests and hysteria, all based on what was happening in America. When it arrived the mechanism to silence dissent or protest, or contrating alternative information was already well in place, so we all just accepted it as it came.

The condition was first called GRID, (gay-related-immune- deficiency) but gay leaders objected to that name as it signalled gay people out and they were afraid it would lead to violence against gays, so they all decided to call it officially AIDS. What was AIDS? It was a condition that affected the immune system of a very small number of gay men in San Francisco and New York. The political “right” attacked homosexuals saying that it was the wrath of God, a divine and just punishment homosexuals deserved because of their debauchery. The gay community panicked, and its leaders were suddenly faced with a very difficult situation to deal with, so they turned to the political ”left” for support.

The ideologically dead and politically bankrupt left of the early 80’s saw an opportunity; it came to our defence and a deal was struck between the self-appointed leaders of gay community, and the left. It went along these lines: become victims, and you can fight off the attack from the right. We will give you protection, and help you bury the truth about the causes of this condition that is afflicting you, by throwing in our political weight behind you; we can help you gain influence, power, and acceptance. In exchange we want a steady display of sickness and suffering, as well as a steady stream of corpses to hold up this scam, from which we will benefit politically and economically, and you will too: together and with the help of the media, we can spread the lie and terrorize everyone into believing that there is a “new virus” that is going to kill everyone, not just gays, but everyone, it’s transmission rout is blood and sex. The religious right were shown in practice that gay men were still going to be dieing in huge numbers, so they were happy about that and just consented the deal, much like they still do today.

It was a diabolically brilliant idea that seemed to suite all involved and more importantly; though ordinary people freaked out, they also loved it.

The AIDS industry was born through this deal struck between all these players, and the representatives of the gay community were in there too, as much as the American and French governments were, the pharmaceuticals, medical establishment and the mass media. Science had already descended into total whoredom with Gallo's announcement and the subsequent support of his retroviral fantasy which he never proved, and not forgetting the disgraceful hounding out and dirty crusade against Professor Duesberg, who fired off the warning shots immediately exposing the HIV theory as a scam. Science sold out first, without this move, none of this mess would ever have been possible.

The leaders of the gay community saw that this was a good deal for them personally and globally too, as it seemed to get the whole community off the hook, so they decided to accept it. Government money started streaming in. Agencies and organizations were set up. The pharmaceutical industry came in with even more money; the gay media and press took the lead in spreading the voodoo, pushing fraudulent tests on gay men and everyone else, whilst organizations such as Act Up and Outrage sold out at the first whiff of real money and political power and their opposition to tests and later toxic drugs became advocacy.

The mass media announced that HIV was the new deadly “virus that causes AIDS” and the public accepted it, even though science had (up till then, and still now) failed to provide any hard and conclusive evidence whatsoever that such a virus even existed. The pharmaceuticals gave gay men what they were screaming for on the streets: medicine. That medicine was AZT, the most toxic drug ever given to humans and in huge doses. The results were immediate and staggering as it started killing everyone who took it, making it look like a real pandemic was actually killing gay men by their thousands, and by that time, heterosexuals as well. Anyone who was diagnosed HIV+ with a test; that is clearly a fraud, was given AZT.

The vast numbers of people, who died from “AIDS”, still corresponds to that era, and is defined by one fact: they were all given AZT, and in huge doses. Everyone conveniently refers to the culprit as being AIDS; which they say ran riot until the new “life-saving” chemo-cocktail called HAART appeared about the mid- 90’s. The truth is it was AZT that killed everyone. I remember how we all used to admit that among ourselves in private up until the mid 90’s.

A blanket of silence, censorship, intimidation and terror was put in place by the gay media immediately, and those that dared to question what was happening, had the full might of this new alliance form hell thrown at them, with all the force that such a diabolical alliance of money, greed, lies, fear, and by then; huge investments and self-interests could muster. The gay world had gone from gay party to death-camp in a very short space of time.

Many dissidents such as John Lauritsen, Celia Farber, Professor Duesberg, Joan Shenton, Neville Hodgkinson and Christine Maggiore among many others have all been attacked in this manner then and still are now; following the gay media firing the first shots, the rest of the mass media follow suite. This became the “modus operandi” of the AIDS industry propaganda machine and is still in place now. Even personalities who were once the “darlings” of the gay world, such as Patricia Nell Warren, who dared question what was going on, found themselves vilified and accused of homophobia always in the same manner: the gay press fires the opening salvo and the first accusation of homophobia, following that the lynch mob just goes to town on whoever it may be, even if they were gay, or gay and HIV+, you still got it. It is either that or censorship.

The gay wing of the AIDS establishment has shown time and time again that it is ruthless, determined, prepared to play very nasty and that it will stop at nothing to protect its interest and reputation as our ‘protectors’.

This has gone unchallenged by the gay community for a quarter of a century, and anyone who dares question it is still hounded out and called a “denialst” and equated with “Jew haters”, or called a “murderer with blood on their hands”. They are attacked without mercy by the gay and regular press. Anyone who has tried to stand up to this has been ladled homophobic and smeared publicly. Some have hounded certain individuals up to the point of putting them in prison and causing their death for trying to stand up to them, such as was the case of David Pasquarelli.

Queers take over the show
Some gay men have done this to other gay men, and anyone else who dares question this Faustian alliance since the start of this dirty affair. This alliance has been daily maintained and renewed without showing the slightest twitch of remorse or care by so many that take part in the PR it needs to stay afloat and keep everyone in line.

The majority of gay men, on the other hand, have used the classic tactic of claiming fear or ignorance about these going on, much like so many ordinary Germans did when it was more than clear that the SS were carting Jews, Gypsies and communists, and anyone they wanted to get rid of, including gays, by the thousands to the camps.

I feel this comparison is totally fair, considering that when people are told and shown what is going on, the vast majority simply look the other way. Try telling any gay man that HIV probably does not even exist and instead of him being hopeful or happy about it, he will probably try to hit you. If he is actually HIV+ then the reaction may even be worse. Try the same on any other person who has any other mortal disease and you will see how at the very least they would be interested in looking into what you are saying.

Why? Because to the gay man HIV is (as of the 80’s) an identity, take it away, and he is left with nothing. The pre-queer queen at least had some claim to a broader intelligence, and a certain intellectual refinement to fall back on, they had read at least one book from the universal cannon, and they referred to themselves as being “gay”, as opposed to being “queer”; which is like saying “freak”. "Queer" is a word so charged with negative ambiguity that only an old-school queen, like Noel Coward or Cole Porter could carry off using it and still come out triumphant. The rest of us just died underneath it.

But with the advent of the “queer” we were left only with trashy vulgarity, and a militant ideal of being hounded victims, an image of death and deformity clad in black with a pink triangle on our chests and with heads shaved (concentration-camp style) and living in self-built ghettos full of discos parties orgies always gyrating to fabulous grooves from house to techno, and plenty of drugs of all kinds to keep us all chilling-out and getting sicker and blaming a virus for it, as well as producing the necessary statistics for the AIDS machine.

I think quite a few of the older queens who saw what was coming just decided to take the AZT and kill themselves to get out, get away from what they saw was the start of a “homofascist” takeover; from the “queer” march and the spread of their dreadful lies and virus. I salute the ones who did that.

Apart from the well know political and economic benefits for the community as a whole, on a personal level, all those diagnosed HIV+ could live off benefits for the rest of their lives, get free housing, and all sorts of complementary care, from therapies to having their astrology chart done, with transits and solar returns, and all for free.

Schizophrenia
HIV also created an insidious two-tier kind of gay apartheid system, based on ones HIV status, which is used against those who are HIV+ without mercy. It involves these HIV+ men who are on the slow poisoning, and have the visible deformities caused by the toxic drugs they take, they are made to parade themselves in public, as a sign of gay victim-hood, so the rest of the world can see and therefore maintain belief in the lie, and in the politically accepted alliance that is supposedly supporting the victims, whilst at the same time individuals use these visible deformities to privately isolate, insult and humiliate those that have them in the gay chat rooms and hook-up sites.

Some go round declaring their “negative” status (this is very popular with Americans) and demanding that anyone who even looks at their profiles should be the same: HIV negative. Those showing signs of the classic sunken face on their profiles are constantly laughed at and told that they are sick and that they are spreading disease and should just kill themselves; I am not making this up you know, I have written about this in my blog and posted actual messages I myself had received, as well as messages others received, all saying stuff like this.

Neither are these incidents isolated, but fairly regular and common. All the people I know who are on medication have various stories they can tell about this. Even those that do not participate in insults and sadistic humiliation of men with deformed faces and bodies due to toxic HIV medication, seldom miss the opportunity to talk about them behind their backs, this is usually done under the guise of warning friends about such and such, saying something like: “so be very very careful he is HIV+ you know…”

If you are one of the men with a positive diagnosis then you are given economic rewards and support in return for the public display of your deformities that symbolise you being a victim for the rest of society, and for allowing other gay men to sadistically abuse you as well, and finally for being a AIDS statistic when your liver pack in and you die. Rewards you also receive for your undying loyalty to the medical profession and its “life-saving” pills, your undying devotion to condoms; which you display on your personal profiles as a kind of warning to others not to end up like you; even when we all know that no one really used condoms, as all negative people look for others like them to avoid using condoms, and positive men do the same.

Porn is a good indicator for this, and just look at what really sells: bareback sells, as that’s what people really do anyway, even though everyone tries to spin the condom yarn, it’s bullshit. Only the big porn companies advocate condoms, and they produce the gay porn that least interests so they are going under, and they know it. Who need COLT, TITAN or Lucas Ent. when you have Xtube and a glimpse of what people really do in bed? It’s all a mixture of grotesque and absurd, but again so in line with the cruelty and idiocy so habitual in the now well-established “queer” psyche.

This is more or less the basic and simplified political background to the gay community’s adoption of HIV as an identity and how it works in daily gay life, and as the political tool that opened the way for the AIDS industry to target and use gay men as they have done for twenty-five years and still do. HIV did what the pink triangle failed to do. It gave gay people a new status and immediacy with their claim to be victims and the world proof that we are good for nothing else but to live on perpetual suffering because we are degenerates, it set new lows in expressions of cruelty, self-deprecation, sadism, masochism and despair and ludicrous fantasy and denial especially for gay men themselves.

Stuck
The left has exploited this and turned it into a political, economic and ideological triumph as it kept the American rancid religious right in check and happy as gay corpses keep coming in. The gay community has been rolled in to be the main investor here along with the pharmaceuticals, which in turn invested in them to produces the corpses, without which the whole thing would not exist. If the gay community as a whole questioned the AIDS myth then it would come crashing down as fast as the Titanic went down in icy waters. This is obvious to everyone who really has the balls and looks into this whole affair, anyone who has the guts not to then look away citing fear as an excuse. It is mainly gay support of the AIDS paradigm that keeps it alive, without us it would fall. The question is: but can we question it?

Things have moved on since those early days and now we have a superficial and tenuous political and social respect, power and a sense of being protected and accepted. We can even in some places get married and adopt children. What no one wants to see is that it has all been at a huge price. A price hundreds of thousands have paid already and some will keep paying for a long time to come to the bitter end.

The leaders of the gay community and the community as a whole have been pushed way beyond Faust; he sold HIS soul to the devil, here, individuals too cowardly and ignorant to know of Faust let alone play Faust, sell other people’s souls to the devil for personal benefit even self gratification…the souls of lovers…the souls of people they claim to love and care about…friends…people they know, or ones they don’t. Bottom line: everyone is involved. Everyone has blood on their hands. Everyone is guilty; either by direct means or by silence or by plain ignorance. We have all been unwittingly turned into criminals.

Finally, it seems like we have all decided to leave this unholy mess for future generations of gay men and women to sort out, as we can't face it all. We are stuck. They will be the ones who will later have to take the fall-out from it all, when the truth of it all actually comes out, and it will; probably when the flimsy alliance between the “queers” and the “left” is simply run over, swept aside, or just simply abandoned, for the more historically obvious yet firmly underground, habitual alliance gay people have always seemed to have with the political right, where if it were not for the religious element, it would be an alliance that would have always been more evident, and also more in tune with what people usually do (sexual orientation apart), when they start to feel more accommodated; they simply just go back to the right.

If you want to look at an example of this, just look at the results of the latest Spanish local elections, where less than a year after the gay marriage bill was pushed through by the left, the gay “barrio” in Madrid gave it’s block vote to the right wing.

What would happen if this occurred; as in Europe it already seems to be doing? The left might feel betrayed, and who knows; it may just decide to drop us all like hot potatoes and even point the finger too. That would be one way of bringing the AIDS paradigm to a crash.

All in all it seems we have been pushed into playing a very dangerous game. We seem to be at the mercy of the right, on one hand, the left on the other, and our own paralyzing terror too, when we look and take account of the fact that all these advances we think we have achieved over these last two decades are nothing more than an illusion, part of very shaky deal, a deal where even just admitting and facing up to the truth will lead to an almighty backlash, the proportions of which, some claim, will be unprecedented in history, and where it is evident that we will have to stand alone.

This is one hell of a deal.

Like you say, from the media to drugs industry and, evidently, to politics. However, to what extent would it be even more profitable if it had a "cure" (meant as a symbolic "placebo-way out" regaridng it as a political controlling device)? Or, otherwise, is it even more controlling in its non-existence, always leading to a cure it may be as unreal as the disease itself? Semantics apart, it seems like ignorance is bliss after all. The whole politically correct establishment of false comprehension and jovial assistance is simply preserving the democratic fear of AIDS in which the subtle propaganda of terror has penetrated the common believes and ideas. The whole system of stereotypes, common believes and dull ignorance is perpetuating the identity of gay men: souls deformed by a wrong sexuality and bodies deformed by a well-deserved sickness. This is what we represent. It seems gay men do not think, do not research. Our ignorance about AIDS is our new pink triangle. The sad thing is we are sewing such awful infamous rag on our chests by ourselves. Our self-humiliation is the icon we parade when we accept the dogmas of the pharmaceutical business and when we implicitly approve homophobia. Our masochistic attitude strengthens the carelessness of the political class and brings only to a tragic end. And there is no catharsis when your friend dies; there is no catharsis when you can’t run away from the ghetto of lies you have built. One night I was in the club Heaven in London on a typical Friday night garage party in the late 80's. I was standing next to Jimmy Sommerville, who I knew at the time. We both looked on at the gyrating bodies, all in a state of “chemical ecstasy”...and he said to me: "It's like we are all dancing in the gas chambers". I just laughed it off at the time, but it stuck in my mind all these years. How shocking and how right he was.

AIDS became the justification politicians needed turn what used to be termed “gay life” into a “death cult”, but the idea is ours. How outrageous is that? AIDS: A Death Cult

This article has been hard to write. I’ve taken a break from “AIDS” for several years, and, returning to the topic now, I’ve been in shock over what has been done to us. My opinions have not changed: I still regard “AIDS” as the greatest blunder and the greatest hoax in medical history – an epidemic of incompetence and an epidemic of lies.

As long as there has been “AIDS” there have been critics of the orthodox AIDS model: “AIDS dissidents”. For the most part our voices were silenced. As AIDS became a religion, a death cult – with sacred commodities, dogmas, rituals and sacrifices – any expression of scepticism was tantamount to blasphemy.

For this article I don’t intend to cover the waterfront, or go into the usual technobabble. Instead, I’ll go back to the very earliest AIDS assumptions, and show the kind of scepticism that ought to have been applied to them. I’ll try to analyse the basic “AIDS” concept in plain English, its contradictions and absurdities.

In 1981 five young men, all “active homosexuals” who were “previously healthy”, were diagnosed as having pneumocystis carinii pneumonia (PCP), which was then believed to be a rare disease caused by a protozoan. Shortly after this, a couple of dozen men, also active homosexuals, were diagnosed as having Kaposi’s sarcoma (KS), which was then believed to be a rare form of cancer. Public health workers and physicians assumed that there must be a connection, and strained mightily to find one. One term bandied about was “gay-related immune deficiency”, or GRID.

After gay leaders objected to GRID, it was changed to “auto-immune deficiency syndrome” (AIDS); some people believed that the body might somehow be destroying its own immune system. When the folks at the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) realised that the “auto-immune” bit was untenable, but the acronym had caught on, they changed it to “acquired immune deficiency syndrome”, even though nobody was sure what was meant by “acquired”.

Even at this early stage there was a deficiency of scepticism. The PCP organism is now thought to be a fungus, rather than a protozoan, and it is ubiquitous – present in the lungs of every human being in the world. Normally it coexists peacefully with human hosts, causing illness only in those in desperately poor health. How, therefore, could PCP be rare, since poor health has always been part of the human condition? The alleged rareness of PCP is merely an artefact of the difficulty in diagnosing it. If someone in the past stopped breathing – an old man at the end of his life or a heroin addict starving in a cold room – the diagnosis would simply be “pneumonia”, without reference to a micro-organism that had yet to be identified.

Kaposi’s sarcoma was then considered to be a cancer. Most of the gay men with KS received cancer chemotherapy, and they quickly died. It is now known, and has been publicly admitted by top public health officials, that KS is not a cancer, but a rather benign affliction of the blood vessels; KS is not caused by HIV, and is not in any way related to “immune deficiency”. The deaths of tens of thousands of gay men with KS were caused by toxic anti-cancer and anti-HIV drugs, not by KS itself. The basic AIDS-concept, prior to 1984, was that something caused a condition of “immune deficiency”, which in turn caused PCP, KS and various other “AIDS-indicator diseases”. But here “immune deficiency” was defined in a way that was new and unprecedented: by counting CD4+ T lymphocytes, by computing T4/T8 ratios. By a miraculous coincidence, the technology for counting T-cells had been perfected just before the emergence of “AIDS”, which the world had allegedly never seen before. Later on, CD4 counts, rather than the health of the patient, would be the basis for evaluating the efficacy of AIDS drugs. It has been known since at least 1993 (when the results of the Concorde AZT study were published), and has been publicly admitted by public health officials, that the CD4 test is worthless; nevertheless, this worthless test is still being used to evaluate the alleged efficacy of toxic and worthless AIDS drugs.

The very earliest attempts by the CDC to formulate a surveillance definition for “AIDS” involved a process of elimination. If a “previously healthy” patient developed an AIDS-defining illness, as well as low CD4 counts, and there was no known cause of the “immune deficiency”, then he had AIDS. There are multiple fallacies involved here. For one thing, the early AIDS cases were by no means “previously healthy” – they had, in fact, been quite sick for a long time. Secondly, all of the early cases had multiple and severe health risks in their lives. Thirdly, there are innumerable ways to become seriously sick (or “immune-deficient”), and it is impossible to eliminate all of these.

In the early years, various hypotheses were advanced as to the nature and causes of AIDS. All this changed in 1984, when the US secretary of health announced at a press conference that the “probable cause of AIDS” had been found: HTLV-III (“human T-cell lymphotropic virus type III”, later renamed as “human immunodeficiency virus” or HIV). Though there was no evidence for the AIDS-virus hypothesis then, and there is none now, it became instant dogma. From 1984 on, AIDS could be discussed only in an “AIDS virus” context.

I witnessed this shift first-hand as a member of the New York Safer Sex Committee, which met in 1983-4 to formulate the first comprehensive set of risk-reduction guidelines. I fought hard to get, and succeeded in getting, the guidelines to address drug abuse. Our brochure, with cartoons by Harold Cruse, came right out and said, “Avoid drugs. Shooting up kills... Poppers are also dangerous.” In 1984 Gay Men’s Health Crisis, the first and largest AIDS organisation, ordered our brochure suppressed and supplanted by its own, which treated risk reduction entirely in terms of avoiding a putative virus.

If HIV were the cause of “AIDS”, or any other form of illness, then there would be HIV infection in every case of the disease. This is the logic of Koch’s First Postulate, a standard test of whether an infectious agent causes a disease. Not only does HIV flunk Koch’s First Postulate, it has never been properly isolated. Although we all have seen pictures of HIV, these are merely artists’ renditions of what HIV is assumed to look like. In reality, it has never been seen through the electron microscope, and may not even exist in a cell-free, infectious form.

Amazingly, no-one has ever demonstrated HIV infection, even in a single case, using “infection” in the ordinary sense of the word. “Infection” implies a large amount of virus or microbe, and a high level of biochemical activity; there would be what’s known as “viremia”: the blood would be teeming with whole, cell-free, infectious viruses, hundreds of thousands to millions of them in every millilitre of blood. In fact, viremia has never been demonstrated.

Many people believe that the so-called “viral load” tests actually count whole viruses in the blood. This is not true, and the tests have been denounced by Kary Mullis, who ought to know, as he received the Nobel Prize in Chemistry for inventing the polymerase chain reaction (PCR) technology on which they are based. According to Mullis, “Quantitative PCR is an oxymoron.”

Neither of the “HIV-antibody” tests – the Elisa and the Western Blot – has ever been properly validated, which means that no-one knows what their results mean. The tests are chemical reactions to antigens, which are substances that provoke an immune response. Many dozens of conditions can produce a positive result on these tests, including drug abuse, flu vaccinations, past infection with malaria, pregnancy and liver disease. Nevertheless, physicians still use these worthless tests, assume that positive results mean HIV infection and give their patients doom-diagnoses of “HIV-positive” or “AIDS”.

“AIDS” is not a coherent disease entity, which has ever been rationally defined, but rather a dubious and contradictory construct, which has changed radically several times. Originally, those with an “AIDS” diagnosis were close to death; now one can obtain the diagnosis without even being sick. When “AIDS” is deconstructed, one is left with 29 (at last count) extremely heterogeneous “AIDS-indicator diseases”, and can only say that different people are getting sick in different ways and for different reasons. For gay men, those reasons involve drugs (both “recreational” and pharmaceutical), alcoholism, venereal diseases and powerful psychological factors.

The various AIDS drugs are, without exception, toxic and worthless. It is not true that the protease inhibitor “cocktails” have caused AIDS deaths to drop: on the contrary, they are causing death and deformity in people who would otherwise be healthy. These drugs were approved on the basis of invalid and even fraudulent research; their alleged benefits are concocted by behind-the-scenes public relations firms, who feed their stories into popular media and medical journals.

I’m afraid that I have barely scratched the surface of the AIDS-dissident arguments, but this is not intended to be a long article. For those of you who would like to learn more, a good place to begin is the Internet. The largest AIDS-dissident website is based in Amsterdam. The HEAL Toronto website is especially valuable for its emphasis on the psychosocial aspects of the AIDS cult.

The Housing/Financial Crisis Patriot Act - The End of America as You Knew It.

America is about to be legally stolen from the people, and given to a very small group of powerful men.

The Patriot Act of Finance, otherwise known as Paulson's $700 billion bailout bill, if passed in its present form will be the nail in the coffin for an America by, for and of the people.

Just like the Patriot Act appeared to be written before 9/11, so does this Patriot Act of Finance appear to be written before the housing crash. And yes, both were rushed through a panicked Congress and complacent media in the middle of the night.

A nation founded by the people, for the people will be given to a very select group of bankers. Legally. Without a shot fired. Because Americans were too distracted and too dumb to know what was going on.

Brilliant.

Here's how it will be done:

1) The key line in the proposed bill is this one:

"The Secretary's authority to purchase mortgage-related assets under this Act shall be limited to 700,000,000,000 dollars outstanding at any one time"

What this does is give Hank Paulson, acting as an emperor with unchecked control over the nation's treasury, a $700 billion line of credit in which he can buy up toxic debt for whatever price he'd like to pay, $700 billion at a time.

In other words - he could buy trillions. Trillions and trillions and trillions. Buying and selling, buying and selling.

He can sell the junk he buys from his banker friends for whatever price he wants, saddling the taxpayers with the loss. He keeps this process going, using his $700 billion credit card. Buy for 60 cents on the dollar, sell for 30 cents on the dollar. Buy for 80 cents on the dollar, sell for 5 cents on the dollar. He's in charge.

$700 billion folks IS JUST THE LINE OF CREDIT. He can purchase trillions and trillions of bad debt with this credit card, as long as only $700 billion is OUTSTANDING at any one time.

2) Hank Paulson, CEO of Goldman Sachs on leave, has complete and total control over the nation's treasure. He would be unchecked by Congress, unchecked by the President. He will be king. Here's the text:

"The Secretary is authorized to take such actions as the Secretary deems necessary to carry out the authorities in this Act, including, without limitation"

Using this power, Hank Paulson of Goldman Sachs could pay Goldman Sachs anything he wanted for their mortgage assets. Let's say the market value was 20 cents on the dollar. Hank Paulson could pay them 100 cents on the dollar. Its his decision and his alone. No oversight. No limitations. Hank Paulson could simply give the nation's treasure to Goldman Sachs.

Get it now?

3) Deputizing the banks and investment banks as "agents of the government". Seriously. Here's the text:

"Designating financial institutions as financial agents of the Government, and they shall perform all such reasonable duties related to this Act as financial agents of the Government as may be required of them"

4) Have no outside control over the firesale of assets and loss to the taxpayer. Again, Hank Paulson and Hank Paulson alone shall be in control. No auditors. No oversight. No multiple bids. No nothing. Hank Paulson and Hank Paulson alone. Here you go:

"Sale of Mortgage-Related Assets. The Secretary may, at any time, upon terms and conditions and at prices determined by the Secretary, sell, or enter into securities loans, repurchase transactions or other financial transactions in regard to, any mortgage-related asset purchased under this Act."

5) Hank Paulson has final say. Hank Paulson knows what's best. Hank Paulson cannot be reversed. Hank Paulson cannot be sued. Hank Paulson is king.

"Decisions by the Secretary pursuant to the authority of this Act are non-reviewable and committed to agency discretion, and may not be reviewed by any court of law or any administrative agency"

So, what can you do? Normally here I'd say contact your corrupt Congressman or Senator. Contact the media. But folks, Congress has been bought. The media have been bought.

The American people have lost.

Deal with it.

So unless there's rage in the street, which there won't be - the new Fall TV season is starting - it's over. They win. In eight short years, they took everything they wanted. And nobody could stop them.

The only hope, for the hopeful? That we can run out the clock, and this bill doesn't pass until Bush and Paulson are gone. But if that's the case, and the bill does pass after January 2009, then the question is - who do you trust more - the outsider or the insider. And with this much on the line, will the outsider be allowed to win?

If this bill does pass ASAP, well, then watch Paulson get busy with his new credit card as fast as he can. He only has four more months. He'll be buying up crap as fast as he can in a desperate and reckless orgy of greed.

Regardless of how this plays out, prepare the best you can. Know what is happening in your former country, and do what is best for you and your family to survive.

I'm off to go find my tin foil hat now. I'm not usually one for conspiracy theories.

In 2000, the long fought for and long admired democracy of the United States of America began a slow and steady decline toward fascism - a Bush family tradition - with the installment of a president - a man the citizens overwhelmingly rejected (although the funny math told a still believed myth) - by a few corrupt judges on the US Supreme Court. That coup is now nearly complete and checkmate is all but unavoidable.

Let me first point you to the Bush administration's so-called Wall Street bailout bill, here, so that you can see for yourself that this treachery is being conducted in the light of day. Fascism is finally and formally out of the right-wing closet even if the F word is not yet openly being used (although it should be, and often).

Now, if you do not yet understand that the Wall Street crisis is a man-made disaster done through intentional deregulation and corruption, I have a bridge in Alaska to sell to you (or Sara Palin does anyway). This manufactured crisis is now to be remedied, if the fiscal fascists get their way, with the total transfer of Congressional powers (the few that still remain) to the Executive Branch and the total transfer of public funds into corporate (via government as intermediary) hands.

Adam Davidson of NPR blogs about the so-called bailout bill as follows:

I would guess that this has to be one of the biggest peacetime transfers of power from Congress to the Administration in history. (Anyone know?). Certainly one of the most concise.
The Treasury Secretary can buy broadly defined assets, on any terms he wants, he can hire anyone he wants to do it and can appoint private sector companies as financial deputies of the US government. And he can write whatever regulation he thinks are needed.

Most importantly, Davidson points to this passage in the bill:

Decisions by the Secretary pursuant to the authority of this Act are non-reviewable and committed to agency discretion, and may not be reviewed by any court of law or any administrative agency.

The Bush family, in the form of Prescott Bush, has tried a more aggressive coup before in order to install fascism in this country. This treasonous plot was called "the Business Plot," because the high-level plotters - including Prescott Bush - were Wall Street men who openly supported fascism.

It seems this time around, the Bush family is trying the more subtle approach to open bloodshed: first create a crisis, then under the guise of addressing that crisis, overthrow democracy. Yes, it does sound terribly conspiracy-theory-esque when explained just this way. But what else does one call a criminal conspiracy to destroy Congressional powers permanently, alter Judicial powers permanently, and steal public funds?

As I see it now, we have but two options and I have long alluded to hoping against hope that one of these options would not be the only one left to a peaceful people. The first and frankly most preferable option is for Congress to immediately begin impeachment proceedings against the members of this latest Business Plot.

No time needs to be wasted on hearings as we already now have in writing, formally as presented to Congress, the intentions of this administration to nullify Congressional powers permanently, to alter Judicial powers permanently, and to openly steal public funds using as blackmail the total collapse of the US economy if these powers are not handed over. You do see how this is blackmail, do you not? You do see how this is a manufactured crisis precisely designed to be used as blackmail, do you not?

The other option, the one I have long prayed we would never need to even consider, is a total revolution. But, If Congress won't act in its own self-defense, in the defense of democracy, in defense of us - the people who have elected them to protect us from this very danger - then what is left for us to do? I don't want to see it come down to this, but I fear that it will. Put your party politics aside right now. We are in a crisis so dangerous that should these people succeed in their coup, your party affiliation will no longer matter, your American flag will be a nice collectible item of something that once was, and your version of God will be worshiped in secrecy because your freedoms will be owned by the few.

You are no longer Republicans, Democrats, or any shade of voter. You do not live in a swing state or a solid colored state. You are simply this: an American. That is the only side that matters. So call your members of Congress and demand, no, declare that unless they do their duty to the Constitution and to us, we will move to the streets - not because we want to, but because our founding fathers demanded this duty of each and every citizen in the face of such a domestic enemy. Demand - as is your right - that this bill be voted against and demand - as is your right - that the people plotting this treachery be held to account. We are either a nation of laws or we are no longer a democracy. Pick a side, because there won't be another time, another moment, another chance to be a patriot.

You guys have to read this, the guy is near ready to call 911 and report me to the secret police for daring to suggest that I fear that there may be a revolution and want everyone to contact Congress and demand no passage of the Coup Wall Street bill (oh, and did I mention that he calls himself the Confederate Yankee?)

Another kook joins the distortion train and swift-boat party. This one is actually now claiming that I am calling for an insurrection (wow, in a few hours they will be claiming that I armed the rebels, and charging the Bastille). And if you read the comments section of this blog, you will find yet more examples of rabid xenophobia and bigotry.

And yet even more stunning? Not a one of them can seem to find the time to react to the unlimited power the Executive Branch is demanding. Perhaps they are too busy eating their racist Obama waffles?

On a side note, please use the phrase "insurrection in bed" in every comment since the right wing requires a distraction, even an imaginary one.

Well, actually, the White House has admitted that they drew up the bail out plan months ago:

[White House Deputy Press Secretary Tony] Fratto insisted that the plan was not slapped together and had been drawn up as a contingency over previous months and weeks by administration officials. He acknowledged lawmakers were getting only days to peruse it, but he said this should be enough.

But the government did nothing real to prevent the financial meltdown. Instead, it let the meltdown happen, and now is trying to ram through terrible and counter-productive legislation drafted previously by using fear tactics.

Does this sound familiar? It should.

Journalism Ethics 101 - My Conversations with New York Times Reporter Janny Scott

In 2005, I was interviewed by New York Times reporter Janny Scott about the Incarnation Children’s Center (ICC) scandal. My investigation had revealed that orphaned children were being used in taxpayer and Pharma–funded drug studies in a Catholic orphanage in New York City.

The studies involved FDA Black-Box labeled drugs, in high doses and combinations. (The FDA Black Box label indicates that a drug has caused permanent damage or has killed patients taking the drug, at its normal, prescribed dose). Orphans were receiving a half dozen of these drugs at once.

No, we did not review patients’ medical files. I would be surprised if that would not have been a breach of patient confidentiality if someone had shown them to us.

An unexpected side effect would have been a side effect not previously seen in response to those drugs, presumably.

Advanced testing methods were the methods available at the time for diagnosing HIV infection.

I do not recall interviewing Dr. Painter but I may simply not remember. As you know, the Times moved to a new office a year ago. It was not possible to move all of our files. In my case, I threw away files that were more than 12 months old. As you know, the story you are asking about was done in 2005.

I do not recall which studies we looked at. There were a lot of them — some more easily accessible than others, as you know.

As for mentioning side-effects and FDA warnings, there are side-effects and FDA warnings on many if not most drugs. The side-effects of early AIDS drugs have been written about extensively. And, as I have said before, we were not presuming to judge whether or not experimental AIDS drugs should have been tried on children — a question that I suspect few journalists would be qualified to answer; we were attempting to put a public controversy in context.

Ms. Scott (and her junior writing partner, Leslie Kaufman), also had access to all the materials already published on the ICC story by myself and independent news agencies [1, 2, 3].

She took my interview, sources and information, but suppressed all of it in her reporting. She did not cite me correctly relating to the publication of my article. She misquoted me from emails that I sent her, and she actively suppressed the sources I gave her, who had inside information about the ICC trials.

Her report did not list a single recorded negative drug side-effect, FDA drug warning, or any of the actual studies being done at the ICC; nor did it feature the testimony of any parent or guardian of a child who was being asked or forced to take these drugs.

At the time of publication, I, and others, wrote critical letters-to-the-editor to Ms. Scott and her employers, but neither she, nor her editors responded to them, and the Times never printed a single opposing view to their front-page story.

In 2008, I tried again, and wrote Janny Scott, again addressing my concerns to her. She responded, and in the course of this second correspondence, she admits that she had not, in fact, read or reviewed a single medical record of any of the children who were given the Black Box drugs, despite having claimed (on the front page of a national paper), that the trials weren’t “anything but a medical success.”

It is both ridiculous and unbelievable that the 'AIDS" activists, gay activists and all other minority community leaders from black or Latino to women, see the racism, homophobia and sexism in the machine failing to brand, poison and eventually kill the people they represent, but NOT in the fact that the deadly 'AIDS" hypothesis, that says; the never isolated retrovirus called 'HIV" for which there is not even a specific test, or official proof that it even exists, causes it. They do not see that "HIV/AIDS" is specifically designed to brand and kill us all.

"AIDS" is the biggest "has-been" parade in history.

The "liberal" washed-up has-been pop star fashion star film star goon squad promoting deadly tests and whipping up the hysteria and lies, throw in a has-been Bishop and a has-been ex-president turned "saint" from South Africa, two has-been presidents of the United States from both sides, Clinton and Bush doing their bit and you have it all there, complete for the corrupt mass media to orchestrate the 'AIDS" show. 25 years of lies, deceit, profiteering, censorship, scaremongering, corruption, sleaze and many many dead people. No wonder they all scream "murder" and attack anyone who asks them, what makes them so sure they are not wrong.

Are they stupid or is this deliberate?

I believe that at this point, it is politically more convenient for them all not to see or admit that, though soon they will have to. Right now they all want to get a piece of the 'AIDS" 48 billion $$ of your tax money" cake. The politicians want the glory and the praise, and the community and minorities leaders get their share by adopting and exploiting the "victim" status of the groups they represent and claim to be helping. The media, activists and stars promote the lies and the hysteria, convince people that they are at risk, promote a test that is a clear fraud and "toxic black box label medication" which they say saves lives, for all those branded 'HIV+", many do it for money as well as for the image. This is intentional and deliberate and therefore is criminal.

Who are they all kidding?

I am not touching on the African "AIDS" question here, that genocide will make all others seem almost insignificant by comparison, if the they keep on getting their way.

When one puts all this together, one should really see that this is another holocaust, and like with all holocausts, the guilty are not just the leaders either, though they have the bigger part of the blame, everyone is guilty by default as well. Holocausts do not happen unless the majority consent them. They do not involve small numbers of people, so the claim of ignorance is simply not credible. The only element allowing this to go on right now is the people's consent. This entire piece of evil would crash and blow apart violently and much more visibly the moment people yell: STOP! The majority though seem happy with "AIDS", as it seems to suit everyone's intrinsic prejudices and interests so nicely.

So even though the trumpets have sounded from the highest levels announcing that it is over, the vultures are all there trying to devour the corpse and grab anything else they can get their nails into, refusing to let go and making that into the typically macabre spectacle we are used to seeing from the 'AIDS" industry.

Let us not forget that "HIV=AIDS" has technically fallen apart already. It ended officially on all levels last July 2008. It had already been discredited totally and on all levels possible and all this noise we hear now is orchestrated by those who need it, because they live off it and those who don't want their part in this unholy scam to be exposed.

He will lose his position in August because of retaliatory attacks by Murtagh’s affiliates (Moore and Gallo). I have copies of letters used to destroy him if you wish to see them. Rebecca Culshaw is one of many victimsThreats and coercion are routinely used to destroy careers of those who question Gallo's unproven allegations.

My investigation has just begun. As you can see, my report is online and Murtagh’s behavior and name are clearly cited in my report, just as I have presented my name and conduct. Murtagh had no expectation to believe that his behavior would not be publicly reported, and I have no statutory or constitutional responsibility to conceal his identity or behavior.

The egocentric, dismissive and out of touch response from Gary Null to Gallo's Egg highlights what many have been saying for years now. AIDS dissent is ruled by an elitist circle of mainly doctors and their acolytes, who when it comes to the crunch and at times such as these, can make it difficult to distinguish even which side they are really on.

What difference is there in this response from Gary Null and one coming from Nick Bennett or JP Moore, who always try to convince us that we don't know enough about this garbage called "AIDS" science to challenge it? Where is the difference?

This is the clearest and most immediate example of how this elitism and browbeating works even within dissent ranks. It is a disgrace that Gary Null still thinks that we all need to spend years reading gobbledygook to be able to see, smell and decry a political fraud. It is also a clear example of what I too have many times lashed out against, which is that these elements within dissent will stop at nothing either to keep themselves and their tired and ineffective scientific dissertations centre stage.

They are above all, loathed to admit that when one follows this from the political angle one CAN and many DO come to clearer and more effective conclusions about the 'AIDS" brouhaha. What exactly has becoming an incomprehensible encyclopaedia of scientific fact, (which even though may be correct, is still a product of the perverse and corrupt "AIDS" science), achieved here to permit Gary Null to be so dismissive and condescending?

This element within dissent has the same effect on people that the flat declaration by 'AIDS" apologists has, when they say that none of us, Null included, know enough about "AIDS" to question it. This is unacceptable and I hope that it is answered vociferously by all. If Gary Null, like JP Moore believes that, then in my books, in spite of all his work, he is just another arrogant, egocentric, out of touch and elitist fool.

Thank God for Clark Baker, he is a breath of fresh air in this genocidal stench. he is the latest to show that this 'AIDS" scam is not that difficult to grasp after all. Maybe that is what pisses Gary Null off more than anything here, Clark took three months to work it out, and he is not the only one either, whilst after a quarter of a century of scientific haggling, dissent doctors have not even been able to come up with ONE SINGLE idea on which they ALL agree, unanimously and forcefully. Yet they still claim total authority and stay firmly centre stage.

LONDON - Fewer people are dying of AIDS, more patients are on HIV medication and the global AIDS epidemic is stable after peaking in the late 1990s.

But the United Nations AIDS agency warned in its yearly report Tuesday that governments will need to continue setting aside millions of dollars for AIDS in the coming decades as patients live longer on AIDS treatment.

"We've achieved more in the past five years than in the previous 20 years," said Peter Piot, the agency's executive director. "But if we relax now, it would be disastrous. It would wipe out all of our previous investments."

UNAIDS estimates the number of AIDS case worldwide at 33 million; its previous estimate of 40 million was revised last year because of changes to how it counts cases.

Countries in sub-Saharan Africa including South Africa, Botswana and Swaziland, remain the center of the AIDS epidemic. The region has about 67 percent of all people infected with HIV and 72 percent of all AIDS deaths.

Outside sub-Saharan Africa, AIDS mainly affects drug users, gay men and sex workers.

Officials estimate that 2 million people died from AIDS last year, down from approximately 2.2 million in 2005.

These reports are not even scientific; they are not based on any true scientific method.

I noticed this started a few days ago now with the racist news issue started coming saying blacks have genetic disposition to 'HIV" infection. I was truly shocked today just to see that on one site alone the alarming quantity of articles and reports detailing this hysteria. I am not even taking Africa into account here, over in Africa this is totally out of control. This new latest mass assault is on black America.

Two respected AIDS campaigners have posted a critique of the vocal activist group ACT UP Paris.

The critique was be published in the latest issue of the Journal of the Southern African HIV Clinicians Society, say its authors, Gregg Gonsalves and Nathan Geffen, both working in South Africa. The criticism is sure to spark discussion at the biennial AIDS conference, which starts in Mexico City on Sunday 3 August: ACT UP Paris has for years been one of the loudest activist groups at such meetings.

Gonsalves and Geffen allege that the group’s “irrational” actions are hurting, not helping, the cause of people with HIV -- a critique Gonsalves has been making for a few years now. The new article recounts how ACT UP Paris’s protests at the 2004 Bangkok AIDS meeting derailed planned clinical trials to test whether antiretroviral drugs could prevent HIV infection. Last June, I posted this report about US hospitals and how many rely on fraud, preventable injuries and infections to patients to compensate for losses due to our government’s insistence that private hospitals treat and care for uninsured and underinsured citizens, indigents, and illegal aliens.

I learned how hospitals destroy good physicians and how predatory hospital chains like Tenet, Kaiser Permanente, and Adventist pressure local physicians already in successful private practice to join their groups. Those who refuse are targeted for sham peer review by corporate administrators and MDs who accuse non-compliant physicians as dangerous, incompetent, or disruptive. While a few tenacious victims expend their life savings to preserve their clinical privileges, others aren’t so lucky. Faced with the malicious and devastating loss of their medical careers, many take their own lives; which is what the health care corporations prefer anyway. To them, it’s only business – nothing personal.

I was never impressed by concerns about “the evils of big pharma.” I assumed that drugs are expensive because of the R & D that goes into finding cures for disease. Until now, I never imagined that some of those same drug companies would support junk science to fund researchers who would then produce expensive drugs that cause illness and disease around the world; or support junk legislation that would force healthy mothers and their children to take drugs that kill (under the threatened loss of child custody), and then use their subsequent sickness and mortality as evidence that a non-existent disease actually exists.

Such a scheme would have made Machiavelli weep with joy.

A New Investigation

I was not concerned about "big pharma" until my visit to Washington DC last May. I was there to meet with members of Semmelweis Society International (SSI). This is an impressive group of medical professionals – physicians, nurses, surgeons, medical and law school professors, and former CEOs of health care corporations. Because of my own experience with retaliation and my ongoing interest in US healthcare and sham peer review, I was interested to hear their stories directly from them.

I accompanied Gil Mileikowsky, MD, the OB/GYN who first explained sham peer to me in 2006. I spent five days with the members – all dedicated men and women who care deeply about the political corruption of healthcare and who risked their own careers to report fraud or abuse within the healthcare system. I recorded and edited their testimony, and posted this video after members testified before the US Congress and Senate. I was also honored to testify regarding my experience as an LAPD whistleblower.

Two recipients of the Semmelweis “Clean Hands Award” were reporter Celia Farber and molecular biologist Peter Duesberg, PhD. I had not heard of them before and knew nothing of their relationship to a little known controversy about HIV and AIDS.

After 28 years as an investigator, I consider myself pretty skeptical about things until I see proof. Most of my work today is pro bono, so I can pick and choose who I assist. Witnesses are expected to lie, but if I discover that a client has misrepresented facts or lied to me, I will usually drop the case. I’m fortunate to have the time, energy, and resources to help good people get out of undeservedly bad predicaments. Not all lawyers are like Mike Nifong or David Sotelo, and not all private investigators work like Anthony Pellicano. Without unbiased credibility, investigators are nothing more than a liability to their clients.

As various members interacted with Farber and Duesberg, I learned that the HIV/AIDS issue had not been entirely resolved. Like Dr. Mileikowsky’s story about sham peer review, this sounded equally unbelievable.

When I returned to Los Angeles, several former members began to question the wisdom of presenting the awards to Farber and Duesberg. In response, SSI President (and neurosurgeon) Roland Chalifoux issued this press release to explain the rationale of the awards. But when two dissenters persisted, Dr. Chalifoux asked me to conduct an independent investigation of Ms. Farber and Prof. Duesberg, citing my investigative experience, independence, and almost complete lack of knowledge about HIV and AIDS.

I accepted the case.

Although I didn’t expect it at first, I was warned that I should expect attacks from the “other side.” I wasn’t sure what they meant but kept it in the back of my mind. It didn’t take me long to find out for myself.

When word got out that I had begun my investigation, several ex-SSI members told me that Duesberg and Farber were dangerous and "not worth my time" to investigate. Having met both in Washington, I found nothing dangerous about the reporter or microbiologist.

Two dissenters, James Murtagh, MD and Kevin Kuritzky, were friendly to me at first and “appealed to my better judgment.” Their friendly pressure intrigued me and I began my investigation by checking into their allegations.

Both essentially charged that Duesberg and Farber were liars and that both were responsible for millions of HIV deaths in Africa. I wasn’t as troubled by their allegations as I was by their insistence that I stop my investigation. It seemed incongruous that the individuals who alleged genocide would also pressure me to not investigate their own allegations.

As both Murtagh and Kuritzky increased their hostility, the more interesting the case became.

It was hard to imagine that Kuritzky had once been accepted to the Emory School of Medicine and even more bizarre that his collaborator, Dr. Murtagh, would permit such an attack. Fifteen minutes later, Murtagh replied to Kuritzky:

It is sad that Farber did not respond to a single one of your well-documented points. I believe the entire SSI (and ex-SSI members) should be proud of the factual manner in which Kevin has investigated this affair.

Ms. Farber again resorts to made up facts, and ignores the 5,000 scientists who demonstrated that Koch's postulates have been fulfilled.

Kevin, you documented 12 double blind studies. Your research puts any doubt to rest. HIV causes AIDS. This is as certain as the earth is round, and that the moon is not made of green cheese.

At the time, I did not know that Murtagh and Kuritzky were being supported by pharmaceutically funded operatives from South Africa, Cornell University, and the Los Alamos National Laboratory.

It got worse.

On June 19th, I became a victim of their attacks just as I had been warned. Kuritzky initiated a “spam attack” against my name and professional email account and phones, generating thousands of unwanted spam messages and phone calls that offered everything from gay porn to paid vacations. Because I was prepared, I was able to positively identify the source of the attack by matching Kuritzky’s IP address used before and after the attacks as the same address used to generate the attack. I eventually filed a crime report with the LAPD and continue to prepare a criminal and civil case against both.

As of last week, I completed and delivered my report to SSI and will now post it in its entirety below. If you want to understand what I now accept as the most significant criminal conspiracy I have ever imagined, get your coffee and strap on your seatbelt.

The investigation I call Gallo’s Egg took me from America’s “War on Cancer” (1971-1981) to the early history of HIV and AIDS. It reaches from the cities of West Hollywood and San Francisco to the continents of Africa, Asia, and Australia. It led me to the steps of the National Institutes of Health, the Los Alamos National Laboratory, and some of America’s most prestigious universities and research centers. It involves hundreds of billions of dollars of misdirected tax-supported funding and some of the most financially successful pharmaceutical companies in the world.

I have never written about anything more important. This story changed my life, and if you have the time and patience to understand what I have written, it may change yours as well.

If Americans, our courts, and our legislature permit the continued corruption of science and medicine by our pharmaceutical industry, I fear that the 232-year experiment we call “The United States of America” will have failed.

Gallo’s Egg

On May 13, 2008, Semmelweis Society International (SSI) presented the Semmelweis “Clean Hands” Award to Professor Peter Duesberg and Investigative Journalist Celia Farber.

The awards were not presented as an endorsement of Prof. Duesberg’s scientific conclusions. Indeed, SSI members disagree about many topics related to science, medicine, and politics. They are not unified by one single ideology, but by their commitment to those who oppose the influence of politics that corrupt science, research, and medicine.

Professor Peter Duesberg, PhD

Prof. Duesberg began his award-winning career in cancer research in 1963. Funded by major grants from National Institutes of Health (NIH), Dr. Duesberg isolated the first cancer gene in 1970, and mapped the genetic structure of retroviruses – a class of viruses that does not kill cells, but were thought to possibly cause cancer. In 1986, Prof. Duesberg was voted into the most respected scientific body in the United States, the National Academy of Sciences (NAS).

One year later, Prof. Duesberg described the flaws in the HIV hypothesis of AIDS causation. Although formal screenings are not required by Academy members, the NAS published Prof. Duesberg’s paper after an unprecedented six separate peer reviews. After 20 years, Prof. Duesberg’s paper remains unanswered.

Prior to these publications, Dr. Robert Gallo, the cancer virologist who claimed HIV caused AIDS in 1984 described Duesberg as the scientist “who knew more about retroviruses than any man alive.”

At the time of his endorsement of Duesberg, Gallo headed the National Cancer Institute (NCI). Although Gallo’s cancer and leukemia research was fraught with controversy, he still enjoyed significant influence in the distribution of research funding from the National Institutes of Health (NIH). Once Dr. Duesberg questioned Gallo’s hypothesis that HIV (alone) caused AIDS, all his proposals for research funding were suddenly rejected. Before raising questions about the role of HIV in AIDS causation, Duesberg’s grant applications were never denied.

When reporter Celia Farber reported on Duesberg and the controversy over HIV (1988), the NIH barred her from further contact with their scientists and labeled her a “threat to public health.” Despite being under constant attack from the HIV/AIDS industry since then, Farber continued to probe the subject in her writings over the years.

Retaliation against publications and journalists who report on scientific challenges to the HIV hypothesis is not new. The gay publications New York Native and Christopher Street were shuttered as a result of the ACT UP boycotts.

When Farber published her 15-page exposé in Harper’s on the unethical practices and patient deaths involved in the experimental AIDS drug trials in 2006, the retaliation was immediate.

Instead of addressing the disturbing content, or the inconsistencies of Dr. Gallo’s AIDS research, pharmaceutical industry-sponsored AIDS activists and researchers accusing Farber of having made 56 errors, and urged the global media and AIDS communities to discredit her, the article, and Harper’s, which they did (NY Times, The Nation, CJR, Poynter, Gay City News, The Advocate, The Body, Act Up). The document was posted by the Treatment Action Campaign (TAC) in South Africa, where they are not required to identify their top 14 international “core donors”. The non-profit group, Rethinking AIDS, later published a rebuttal to their attack on Farber, which proved there were no errors in the Harper’s article. Farber’s most prominent critics, including Gallo, refuse to respond.

Harper’s and Farber stood accused of "AIDS denialism" and drawing negative attention to a "life-saving drug" Nevirapine, which had just been financed for distribution to more than a dozen developing nations. Their protest was consistent with their demands for increased distribution of lower-priced AZT during the 1980s.

In the heat of the attacks, members of Harper’s staff also received threats. The authors of the attack manifesto demanded 1) an apology, 2) a condemnation of Farber, 3) Harper’s surrender of pages to an article extolling the benefits of the drug in the next issue, same length, and the editor’s resignations. They even demanded to bring their own fact checkers. Harper’s yielded to none of the threats, conceded no errors, and continues to stand by the article to this day.

One of the signatories of the attack document against Farber was Richard Jefferys of New York’s Treatment Action Group (TAG), one of many AIDS “activist” groups that are funded by the pharmaceutical industry.

In May 2008, Jefferys led the campaign to antagonize members of both the Semmelweis Society (SSI) and the No Fear Coalition over the Farber/Duesberg awards. In seeking to get the awards rescinded, Jefferys disseminated falsehoods about Farber’s journalistic record (which this investigator examined) and failed to reveal that the maker of the drug Farber exposed was TAG’s third largest donor. As the coordinator of TAG’s central donor program, Jefferys’ job was to coordinate “global activist/scientist response” against Farber and her article in Harper’s: In short, Harpers paid Farber to investigate, and Boehringer Ingelheim paid Jeffreys to retaliate.

As a result of the false allegations, Farber did not receive another journalism assignment for more than two years. Only one source later reported that an independent panel of non-orthodox scientists found Farber’s article, after a four month review process, to be error free.

Although his recent cancer theory has earned him newfound respect in scientific circles and media (Scientific American 2004, 2007, Discover 2008),
Professor Duesberg remains cut off from all NIH funding, and commutes to Germany to conduct his scientific work. While Prof. Duesberg and other scientists still doubt that HIV kills cells, their questions are even more troubling when we consider the coordinated personal attacks used by Gallo and a core group of collaborators against those who ask legitimate questions about Dr. Gallo’s questionable scientific record:

In 1975, Gallo and Weiss stated that they had isolated a human leukemia virus, HL23 virus, but this was shown later to have resulted from laboratory contamination by three primate retroviruses. In 1980 Gallo claimed to have isolated a human T-cell leukemia virus (HTLV), but did not present positive evidence that this was a human virus. During 1983-4, Gallo and his associates published several papers asserting that the human leukemia virus, HTLV-1, was the agent involved in the development of AIDS. This was eventually disproven but meanwhile the attention of many scientists was misdirected, wasting time and resources that could have been put to far better use…

After years of questions about fraud and questionable research, Dr. Gallo left NCI to open Baltimore’s Institute of Human Virology. Professor Duesberg still teaches at the University of California, Berkeley.

A quick summary of the origin of the HIV controversy:

Dr. Duesberg identified and mapped retroviruses,
Experts determined that retroviruses do not kill cells,
Dr. Gallo calls Duesberg the world’s top retrovirus expert,
Dr. Gallo proclaims that the HIV (retrovirus) causes AIDS (by killing white blood cells),
Dr. Duesberg reminds Gallo that retroviruses don’t harm cells, and;
Dr. Gallo has never proven that HIV exists, attacks cells, or causes AIDS.

History of Scientific Retaliation

Because the father of the scientific method was born 1000 years ago in the Middle East, the political pressures of his religion prevented humanity from taking full advantage of the promise of science. Ibn al Haytham and Dr. Ignaz Semmelweis were both judged insane not because they were wrong, but because their ideas threatened contemporary political forces.

Prof. Duesberg and Ms. Farber aren’t alone. Economist Ben Stein reported others whose scientific inquiries are now threatened, interrupted, or corrupted by political influence. This influence results in the loss of research grants or, as in the case of Ms. Farber, industry insiders who blacklisted her in the media. In hospitals, these influences kill thousands of patients annually.

When the NAS published Prof. Duesberg’s 1988 paper, Gallo and company scattered like debutants from a stentorian fart. Anthony Fauci refused comment. Maxine Singer said she was still reading earlier issues. Saying that he hadn’t “heard a single scientist discuss it for a second,” Gallo admitted that a copy was on his desk, but hadn’t read it.

Although he vowed to respond, neither Gallo nor any of his defenders ever published a rebuttal of Duesberg’s paper (or the 196 peer citations that supported it) in any peer-reviewed publication.

Instead, Gallo’s defenders created the specter of AIDS-Denialists and Denialism, epithets designed to marginalize those who questioned Gallo’s opinions as somehow denying the existence of AIDS itself. Because Gallo skeptics never questioned the existence of AIDS, this allegation is false. The fact that malnutrition, septic water, disease, environmental conditions, irresponsible drug use and self-destructive behavior can degrade a body’s ability to protect itself from infection and cause death is undeniable. What is in question is Gallo’s scientifically unsupported assertions that retroviruses cause leukemia, cancer, and AIDS.

When used around casual observers, the denialist/denialism epithet dehumanizes Gallo skeptics as flat-earthers, ufologists, Klansmen, Eugenicists, racists, homophobes, and other socially unacceptable groups. Because most people fear the stigma that comes with those associations – and are socially, politically, and professionally unprepared to defend themselves against this slur, they politely scatter and change the subject like Gallo’s debutants.

The Storm

Months after Ms. Farber published her 2006 Harper’s exposé, AIDS industry activists held this conference where those who offended the official HIV/AIDS “Party Line” were methodically and unrelentingly attacked as denialists.

Co-moderated by TAG operative Daniel Kuritzkes, MD, the 2006 HIV Science and Responsible Journalism Conference asked invited journalists “if balance was always appropriate when the evidence backs one side.” These academic “hit men” openly and unapologetically detailed how and why these attacks shall be executed.

A paid consultant to more than a dozen pharmaceutical companies, Dr. Kuritzkes warned journalists that denialists like Peter Duesberg still work in universities and urged that they be denied access to students and reported to authorities whenever possible.

Kuritzkes told his audience:

“If this happens in your neighborhood ask the university authorities why they allow this and then write about it.”

WSJ reporter Marilyn Chase warned reporters not to unintentionally “exalt the position of denialists by making them seem like just some sort of independent intellectual contrarian whose views really should be heeded.”

Sitting in the audience, research scientist Ella DeCann complained that “science is full of laboratory politics,” and asked the panel:

“Do you understand that AIDS research is actually tied to technology, rather than to science?”

Panelist John P. Moore, PhD quickly rejected her assertion. Although he regularly identifies himself as a professor of microbiology and immunology at Cornell University, Moore rarely mentions the $400 million annual funding that Cornell receives for research from taxpayers and HIV drug makers that include Merck, Bristol-Myers Squibb, Trimeris, or GlaxoSmithKline. Bristol Myers Squibb alone acknowledges more than $100 million in research funding. With billions of dollars in research grants at stake, it’s understandable why Dr. Moore and America’s most prestigious universities are reluctant to offend the pharmaceutical companies that keep their prestigious research laboratories open. Rather than present Gallo’s promised proof that HIV exists, kills cells, and causes AIDS, Dr. Moore attacks with rhetoric. A few examples:

H.I.V. causes AIDS. This is not a controversial claim but an established fact, based on more than 20 years of solid science. It is as certain as the descent of humans from apes and the falling of dropped objects to the ground.
To deny that HIV causes AIDS is farcical in the face of the scientific evidence.
Although science is not an ivory tower that should never be questioned, the fundamentals of whether HIV causes AIDS are so certain that challenging them to create trouble really does harm people.
AIDS denialism kills.
We will not engage in any public or private debate with AIDS denialists or respond to requests from journalists who overtly support AIDS denialist causes.
The debate has been settled. It is not our role to enlighten denialists as to their inability to understand the available information.

A few months later, Dr. Moore wrote this email to another Gallo skeptic:

"Dan" has it exactly right when he says:

If they are able to "justify" their actions, it's most likely because they simply see this as WAR. War against the "denialists". Nothing more.

When you're in a war, there are no rules.

This IS a war, there ARE no rules, and we WILL crush you, one at a time, completely and utterly (at least the more influential ones; foot-soldiers like you aren't worth bothering with). John (emphasis added)

Although Moore boldly threatens to “crush” those who question the role of HIV in AIDS, he avoids all invitations to engage in public debate on the HIV hypothesis of AIDS.

Because AIDS is mostly confined to its initial risk groups in America (gay men and drug users), most Americans have been too busy to concern themselves with the issue or the storm of politics and retaliation that continues to mute this largely unnoticed international debate. Most Americans feel unaffected, but our general complacency permitted fundamental changes in the direction and progress of higher-priority medical research. The redistribution of hundreds of billions of research dollars based upon Dr. Gallo’s still unproven claims continues to the detriment of millions of Americans and people around the world.

After the Semmelweis Society International (SSI) presented awards to Duesberg and Farber last May, the retaliatory forces that curtailed all funding for
Prof. Duesberg’s award-winning cancer research and attacked Ms. Farber’s reporting were suddenly brought to bear against SSI and its members (including this investigator). If not for the courage of the SSI membership and the support of hundreds of award-winning scientists and researchers, SSI and the awards would have evaporated. For their membership, science and medicine must repudiate all forms of political influence, regardless of the political risks involved.

In the spirit of freedom and science, SSI commissioned this report to respond to questions and arguments regarding Professor Duesberg’s unanswered questions of Dr. Gallo’s 1984 HIV hypothesis. As an independent investigator who could not be influenced by the threats or attacks made against vulnerable SSI members and others; and as someone who had never heard of Duesberg, Gallo, Farber, or AIDS Denialism before May 2008, SSI believed that this investigator had the unbiased and proven investigative experience necessary to examine both sides of the controversy. For his efforts, this investigator was not compensated.

One of the more printable attack letters to SSI was from former Emory medical student Kevin D. Kuritzky, who wrote:

It is my understanding that Semmelweis presented Dr. Duesberg with an award, seemingly on behalf of the group. It is not disputed that Dr. Duesberg is a controversial figure. However, I have had personal experiences with his material and his theories. I have read his works, studied them, and frankly, I am sickened.

I am sickened because… I was born in a nation, South Africa that is ravaged by HIV/AIDS. Dr. Duesberg was used as a pawn of the government to impede providing antiretroviral medicines to the needy. Dr. Duesberg has provided no science behind his theories, and he, as a virologist, allowed himself to be complicit to murder by the tens of thousands, in essence to sell his notoriety.

Investigator’s Response:

South Africa is not “ravaged by HIV/AIDS.” In 2001, the South African Government reported 9,479 deaths due to "HIV Disease" out of a population of 44.8 million. This represented only 3.16% of all deaths in the country and only two-one hundredths of one percent (0.02 %) of South Africa’s total population.

Kuritzky’s reference to "antiretroviral medicines" also implies an Orwellian use of language. The primary "medicine" is AZT, which was designed as a highly toxic cancer chemotherapy in the 1960s. It’s hard to imagine why anyone in America or South Africa would want to deliver toxic chemotherapies to expectant mothers and villagers who already suffer from poverty, malnutrition, and septic water.

In this 2008 study, 320 Tanzanian patients were placed on “antiretroviral therapy” (ART) between October 2003 and November 2006. Most (223) were women, some as young as 15. The majority were between 25 and 34 years of age. Most were severely malnourished, had thrombocytopenia and varying degrees of anemia.

Overall, 95 patients died within 11 months, 59 within three months of starting the drug regimens.
One year mortality was estimated as high as 46.8% in those who were severely malnourished. Other studies confirmed that severe malnutrition is directly related to the mortality of HIV+ African patients "even after the introduction of highly active antiretroviral therapy..."
One of the authors explained that the study’s weakness is that mortality might be underestimated because so many were lost to follow up and probably died at home.

Moreover, the main published study on the side effects of "antiretroviral medicines" is alarming.

Ronald B Reisler M.D., M.P.H. did a five-year review (1996-2001) of about 3000 HIV/AIDS patients who took the anti-retroviral cocktails. He found that:

332 patients suffered an "AIDS" event, meaning some purported manifestation of the underlying disease, however;
675 patients suffered a "Grade 4" event, meaning a life-threatening illness was attributed to the drugs, not the virus. The most common of these side-effects were:

Liver damage
Neutropenia (white blood cell loss)
Anemia (red blood cell loss)
Cardiovascular, including heart attacks
Pancreatitis
Psychiatric disorders
Kidney problems
Thrombocytopenia
Hemorrhage

In sum, twice as many AIDS patients fell ill from the drugs than from AIDS – which is exactly what Dr. Duesberg predicted would happen in the late 1980s.

Kevin Kuritzky:

Dr. Duesberg lacks any courage to back up his claims.

Investigator’s Response:

Dr. Duesberg has published numerous papers in the peer-reviewed literature to back up his claims, much to the detriment of his career. A Google-Scholar search reveals over 200 of his peer-reviewed papers. On the other hand, Mr. Kuritzky’s claims have been posted on dozens of pharmaceutically-funded activist websites, including AIDS Truth, which was created in direct response to the perceived threat of the consequences of Farber’s 2006 Harper’s article. Although technically a “non-profit,” AIDS Truth is operated by “team members” who are funded directly or indirectly by the pharmaceutical industry.

Kevin Kuritzky:

When I was in college, Dr. Duesberg gave a lecture. He was unprofessional and was offered the opportunity to prove his "theory." He lacked the fortitude to demonstrate his true commitment to the pseudo-science he preaches, and backed away like a coward. If he truly believes what he espouses, he should have the guts to inject himself with HIV to prove his point about "poppers" etc being the real culprits of AIDS.

But unlike Dr. Jaworski who stood up for what he believed in with regards to peptic ulcer disease, Dr. Duesberg was a coward. When I was involved in HIV research as an undergraduate, I told Dr. Duesberg personally that this lack of desire to "prove" his point calls into question his very belief in the pseudotheory, and makes one wonder whether his whole career is based on a notoriety desire.

Investigator’s Response:

As the tone of the “former medical student” grew increasingly hostile, this investigator noted consistencies between Kuritzky’s attacks, and those routinely repeated by TAG surrogates John P. Moore PhD, Daniel Kuritzkes MD, and Richard Jefferys.

After a brief examination, this investigator discovered that Kuritzky was expelled from Emory Medical School after numerous allegations of dishonesty, unprofessional, and unethical conduct. Regardless of his past (and consistent with garden-variety TAG attacks), Kuritzky offers no proof; and since Emory Medical School is located three time zones east of UC Berkeley, his anecdote is doubtful.

Regarding the allegation of cowardice: Prof. Duesberg has offered several times (example) to inject himself with HIV if 1) only the exact terms for success or failure could be offered by his detractors, and 2) the experiment could be scientifically conclusive.

In 1984, the theorized HIV/AIDS “HIV latency period” (from infection to illness) was said to be from six months to a year. Today, it is accepted that there are varying categories of "long term non-progressors" (LTNP) or "elite controllers", who take decades to progress to AIDS, if at all. In some studies the latency period has been stretched as high as 30 years or more (2007), although the drug industry and its activists attribute this to new antiviral drugs. This means that if Prof. Duesberg was injected with the “HIV retrovirus” in a controlled study today, he could die sometime after reaching his 104th birthday.

After twenty years, Dr. Gallo and supporters like Dr. Moore continue to refuse to provide Dr. Gallo’s promised rebuttal to Prof. Duesberg’s PNAS paper. Instead, they have declared:

We will not (e)ngage in any public or private debate with AIDS denialists or respond to requests from journalists who overtly support AIDS denialist causes.

In this investigator’s experience, no other science is defended with epithets and refusals to disclose. After publishing millions of pages of research based upon Dr. Gallo’s hypothesis, why would Dr. Moore refuse to present Dr. Gallo’s original proof unless it does not exist?

Kevin Kuritzky:

Dr. Duesberg has indirectly killed many human beings through his complicity in South Africa's limits on antiretroviral medications given to pregnant women. The science is proven that vertical transmission is greatly reduced here. I am not sure if Semmelweis is aware that Dr. Duesberg was essentially finally run out of the country (South Africa) as a murderer, and I personally don't disagree with this claim as I am intimately familiar with Dr. Duesberg's behavior in South Africa.

Investigator’s Response:

This is one of the most common and manipulative anti-scientific libels used to prevent Duesberg from pursuing his counter-theory in a scientific manner. Like
Dr. Moore, Kuritzky offers no evidence, references, or proof of any of these allegations, nor does an aggressive search reveal any clues to substantiate his claims.

Prof. Duesberg was not “finally run out of the country (South Africa) as a murderer”: He visited South Africa when President Thabo Mbeki summoned him for round table discussions between AIDS scientists of opposing viewpoints in 2000.

Of the antagonistic, hostile, and threatening attacks made by Gallo defenders, former South African President Thabo Mbeki appealed to then-President Bill Clinton and UN Secretary General Kofi Annan (April 3, 2000), and:

… passionately defended Duesberg and the other dissidents, and suggested that factors other than HIV could be the cause of AIDS in Africa. He called for a uniquely 'African solution' to the problem, as AIDS seemed to affect Africans differently to those who live in the developed world. He also defended his right to consult dissident scientists, and accused unnamed foreign critics of waging a 'campaign of intellectual intimidation and terrorism' akin to 'the racist apartheid tyranny we opposed'.

In an earlier period in human history, Mbeki wrote, Duesberg and his followers 'would be the heretics that would be burnt at the stake. The day may not be far off when we will, once again, see books burnt and their authors immolated by fire by those who believe that they have a duty to conduct a holy crusade against the infidels.' The letter, copies of which were delivered by hand to Clinton and Annan, concluded: 'It would constitute a criminal betrayal of our responsibility to our own people to mimic foreign approaches to treating HIV/AIDS.'

As stated earlier, prescribing toxic cancer chemotherapy to pregnant women is dangerous for both mother and child:

“In reviewing the frequency of birth defects in this population [of HIV+ women taking AZT during pregnancy] we noted eight birth defects (10%) out of 80 live births [and 8 spontaneous fetal losses, for a total of 17% abnormal pregnancies]”

More Questions

The HIV/AIDS issue consists of two components:

Dr. Gallo’s original opinion, and;
Millions of pages of research that are based upon, and used to support, Dr. Gallo’s original opinion.

While no ordinary investigator can competently argue millions of pages of HIV/AIDS research, it is equally disingenuous for any scientist to argue any research that is based upon Dr. Gallo’s theory without proof that HIV a) actually exists, b) kills white blood cells, and c) causes AIDS. Consensus, based upon unproven hearsay, is not proof.

At the same time, there are a number of easily understandable peer-reviewed reports that conflict with Gallo’s theory.

For example, chimpanzees share about 99% of the DNA in humans. Since it is unethical to test humans with potentially dangerous pathogens, they serve as the “gold standard” for scientific experiments. In the mid-1980's, AIDS researchers infected numerous chimps with HIV to induce AIDS. No chimpanzee has ever developed AIDS.

It is said that HIV is spread through sex. Yet, the largest epidemiological study of heterosexual transmission of HIV was conducted in San Francisco from 1987-1997. The researchers observed 175 sexually-active discordant heterosexual couples (1 partner HIV+, 1 partner HIV-) for over six years. No person in the study contracted HIV.

HIV Testing

The problem with HIV tests is that there is no viral gold standard. HIV test accuracy is not measured against any isolated (purified) HIV, but against indirect measures or patients with clinical symptoms of AIDS. These tests generally detect, and are hypersensitive to, antibodies of many different viruses and cellular debris. This $50,000 award, offered in exchange for scientific validation of any HIV test, remains unclaimed.

Using a “cops and robbers” analogy, Dr. Gallo’s HIV test relies on the presence of cops (antibodies) to indicate the presence of robbers (HIV). While it’s true that cops appear at bank robberies, they also appear at doughnut shops, police stations, fundraisers, sporting events, and training academies. The presence of cops does not necessarily prove the presence of robbers.

The autoimmunity phenomenon is characterized by an immune response against its own cells and tissues. So while the presence of HIV-antibodies (cops) may indicate that, at some point, someone may have been in contact with an HIV-virus or related particle (robbers), there is no way to ascertain the significance of such an event.

Antibody production does not mean that the antigen is necessarily noxious.

For example, the most common form of hypothyroidism is caused by anti-thyroid antibodies. This does not mean that the thyroid tissue is a harmful pathogen. The antibodies against virtually all endocrine organs, including ovaries, have been identified and (so far) no one has demanded the mass performance of thyroidectomies or ovarectomies. This becomes more complicated since many patients with anti-thyroid or anti-ovarian antibodies do not suffer from significant target organ damage. In this “cops and robbers” analogy, the cops (antivirus) are sometimes summoned by those who have mistaken the noise of a stray cat for a home invasion robbery.

Consider the “metal detector” analogy: To prevent terrorists from boarding planes (or HIV in our blood supply), HIV test sensitivities are set so that Jimmy’s orthodontics and Grandma’s titanium hips activate the alarms. Once those alarms sound, the tests brand them as suspected terrorists.

Kevin Kuritzky:

The fact that any westernized physician, particularly an Ob-Gyn (SSI member) can defend Peter Duesberg is beyond my comprehension. I think any Ob-Gyn that fails to administer anti-retrovirals to a pregnant woman should not only be peer-reviewed, but should be put in jail. Yet, Dr. Duesberg has espoused this sickening ideology.

Investigator’s Response:

Remember that SSI chose to answer Kuritzky’s letter because he offered the most common and coherent attack against Prof. Duesberg. In light of the aforementioned evidence of his criminal behavior, it was extremely difficult for this investigator to take any of Kuritzky’s TAG-generated myths seriously.

Kuritzky also illustrates that the hysteria that incarcerated history’s first scientist and Dr. Semmelweis still exists today. When science becomes a hysterical political argument and criminal attacks, science and human progress cease to exist. Nevertheless, the record appears to reflect that these are Mr. Kuritzky’s (and TAG’s) strongest arguments. Indeed, these also appear to be the same political arguments used to coerce scientists and physicians into politicizing real science.

Panic & Politics

In the late spring of 1981, the National Cancer Institute (NCI) and the National Institutes of Health (NIH) were coming under increasing Congressional pressure to clean up the waste and corruption that characterized their ten-year War on Cancer.

At the same time, CDC epidemiologist Dr. Wayne Shandera reported that five homosexual men in their 20s and 30s were stricken by a pneumonia that ordinarily struck cancer and transplant patients. Said Shandera, “The best we can say is that somehow the pneumonia appears to be related to gay life style.”

The report stated that five patients also suffered from infections due to a virus “that causes mononucleosis-type symptoms” and is “shown to be capable of suppressing the body’s immune defense system in a manner similar to anti-cancer drugs.”

Investigators speculated that the virus (CMV) was “suppressing the immune defense system of certain individuals sufficiently to make them vulnerable to the
P. carenii already present in most persons’ lungs.”

“They are carrying out an intensive study to learn what the common factor may be in the lifestyle of gay males. One speculation is that the inhalants commonly used in the gay community to heighten sexual feeling may somehow be involved.”

When the story came out, some insensitive clergy and ideologues suggested in the media that AIDS was “punishment for homosexuals who violated God's Law.” Homosexuals and their advocates were understandably hurt by these remarks. Unfortunately for science, this immediately polarized and politicized the debate. While the extreme right sought to stigmatize AIDS as a “gay disease” that was unworthy of attention, the left exaggerated the risk that AIDS posed to the general population and demanded endless funding.

Policymakers were understandably reluctant to shift billions of dollars in research funding from deadlier diseases like heart disease (#1) and cancer (#2) to a lesser understood pathology that appeared to only affect a small population segment.

When the Gay and Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation (GLAAD) protested the skeptical “homophobic and AIDS-phobic coverage” of the New York Post, the US media killed all stories that suggested the propriety of a careful government response. Without the media’s support, politicians, government officials, and drug manufacturers grew unwilling to risk the homophobe label. This appears to coincide with the period when American science was corrupted by the political debate.

The result was devastating to those most vulnerable. Poisonous toxins suddenly became available as the FDA rushed their approval of new AIDS medications in as little as six weeks. During the AZT trials, Burroughs-Wellcome used their own researchers to test and distribute AZT with little more than hat tip from the FDA:

“By the middle of 1985 there were over 10,000 AIDS patients anxiously awaiting a drug. The extreme patient need for a drug sped up the process from test tube to patient tremendously. After filing six patents on the preparation and use of AZT, and racing through necessary animal tests in partnership with the NCI, Burroughs-Wellcome submitted an application to the FDA for an Investigational New Drug (IND). In a miracle of bureaucracy, the FDA approved of the first AZT trial in only seven days.”

When word spread that AZT trials at Burroughs-Wellcome required placebos for half of their 282 HIV/AIDS patients, the media fueled several more controversies:

“Some critics believed that AZT was too toxic for weak AIDS patients, and others accused Burroughs Wellcome and the FDA with hindering the drug’s ability. Many critics felt that the placebo arm of the arm was unethical, and called for all patients to have access to the drug. Burroughs Wellcome’s spokespersons vigorously defended the trial, but the company recognized the high stakes of the trial and, in collaboration with the NCI and the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID), they established the Data and Safety Monitoring Board (DSMB) consisting of various AIDS experts that were removed from the trial.

“In September of 1986, only 7 months after the trial started, the board concluded that there was a significantly lower mortality rate in patients randomly assigned to receive AZT than the placebo. Only one of the 145 patients receiving AZT had died, compared with 16 patient deaths from the 137-patient group. The trial was halted, and the patients who received placebos were given an opportunity to take AZT… by March of 1987, 4500 AIDS patients, or one-third of all Americans living with AIDS, had received free Retrovir (AZT) handouts from the company...

“In less than three years, AZT had progressed from the obscure shelves of Burroughs Wellcome to pharmacies all across the country, providing patients a measure of hope at a time when there was none…”

Former NCI director Dr. Samuel Broder characterized the three-year-process as moving “at the speed of light.” AZT retailed for $188 per bottle, or approximately $7,000 to $10,000 per patient, per year. Compared with today’s FDA standards, three years is a glacial pace.

Hundreds of billions of dollars were subsequently transferred from cancer and cardiovascular disease research and, as the uncontrolled waste and abuse spread, scientists, physicians, and universities truncated reports, shortcut peer review studies, and attacked those who challenged their questionable methodologies. Millions of research pages and articles were subsequently generated that cited, complimented, and supported other research papers that all assumed that Dr. Gallo’s HIV theory was an “established scientific conclusion.”

Gay men and drug addicts who were terrorized by the fear and propaganda campaign about HIV, and stigmatized by unreliable HIV tests, stampeded to AIDS clinics for fast prescriptions of lethal doses of AZT. The greatest period of mortality (1987-1995) attributed to HIV occurred during the exact years of AZT mono-therapy. Coincidentally, as AZT was replaced by less toxic drugs, mortality also dropped to current levels. Liver failure remains the leading cause of death among HIV+ patients who use the current generation of black-box anti-HIV medications. Liver failure is caused by drug toxicity and is not considered an AIDS-defining illness.

When 13-year-old Ryan White was diagnosed as HIV+ in 1984, his illness further fueled the hysteria. In 1987, Oprah Winfrey quoted "scientific predictions" that 20 percent of all heterosexual men would die from AIDS by 1990:

"By 1996, three to five million Americans will be HIV positive and one million will be dead from AIDS."

Once the massive government fire hose was turned on to fight the “War on AIDS,” competing, fact-based, scientific views, were drowned out or otherwise suppressed.

Because so few middle-class, white heterosexuals ever got AIDS or knew someone who did, many Americans passively disconnected themselves from the campaign.

Motives

Within the scientific community, the HIV/AIDS question may have been one symptom of an even larger disease.

During the 1980s, the general public began to under-value and under-appreciate the work of independent academic scientists like Prof. Duesberg. NIH grants became scarce, endowments dried up, and tuitions barely covered teaching activities. As a result, the salaries and social status of academic faculty members began to decline and many talented individuals fled the universities.

Due to this negative selection, the majority who stayed in academia became very different from classic scientific giants like Robert Koch. While this did not mean that all academicians became unethical, it was easier to become disillusioned and cynical in such environment. Some faculty members grew desperate in their search for some form of a steady income that would compensate for many years of education and training. The pharmaceutical industry was more than happy to help – for a price.

This situation is described in the book, The Truth About the Drug Companies, by former New England Journal of Medicine (NEJM) editor Marcia Angell. When, in an earlier NEJM editorial, Dr. Angell asked, “Is Academic Medicine for Sale?” a reader replied, “No, the current owner (Pharmaceutical Industry) is very happy with it!”

Anti-retroviral drugs are all in categories of known or unknown danger to fetal development. In the post-thalidomide age, the FDA strongly recommends against administering these drugs during gestation. None are “safe” to mother or fetus. (one example)

Celia Farber also documented the horrific death from organ failure in pregnant mother Joyce Ann Hafford, who was being treated with AIDS drugs (nevirapine and combivir, made with AZT) while pregnant with her second child.

In March 1996, the FDA authorized the sale and distribution of crixivan six weeks after Merck applied for FDA approval. Compared to the years taken to complete 110 clinical tests before approving Splenda and AZT’s “light speed” three-year testing, it’s hard to imagine how the FDA could safely approve anything in 42 days.

Noted for being “well tolerated” and causing substantial improvements in “CD4 cell counts and viral load,” the crixivan report noted that “the relevance of changes in viral load had not been established”; nor did it show any effect on the development of infection, survival, or as a cure for AIDS.

In light of the profit margins related to drugs like crixivan and the catastrophic deaths related to toxins like nevirapine, it’s hard to ignore the potential profits generated by panicked people who learn they’ve tested HIV+.

AIDS prescriptions are costly. About.com reports that pharmacies charge $570/mo for crixivan capsules:

When multiplied by the estimated US population of one million HIV+ patients, potential income for crixivan alone can be considerable:

The export and consumption of these untested known toxins by mostly rural and poor villagers of foreign countries is also disturbing.

HIV/AIDS science appears to target minorities. HIV test drives are sharply focused on the African American community, which was Joyce Ann Hafford’s misfortune.

Abbott Laboratories recently donated $60 million in their five-year program to urge black Americans to be tested for HIV. According to Abbott, their ”I Stand with Magic” campaign “intends to halve the rate of new infections among US blacks.”

Despite Dr. Gallo’s unproven HIV/AIDS hypothesis, basketball legend Earvin "Magic" Johnson uses “his fame to raise public awareness of the virus that causes AIDS.” Moviemaker Spike Lee, who directed the public service ads, said, "We African Americans can be homophobic. There's a whole lot of re-education that needs to get started."

According to the same LA Times article:

… the heads of the National Assn. for the Advancement of Colored People… took HIV tests in public and made testing available at their annual convention. That same year, 16 mainstream black organizations, including 100 Black Men of America, the Congressional Black Caucus Foundation and the National Council of Negro Women, pledged to fight the epidemic.

"The black community is where the gay white community probably was in the late 1980s or early 1990s," said Dr. Wilbert C. Jordan, medical director of the OASIS Clinic at the Martin Luther King Jr. Multi-Service Ambulatory Care Center. "But we're not where we need to be still."The numbers provide ample reason for alarm. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, blacks make up almost half the estimated 1.2 million Americans living with HIV today, though they are just 13% of the U.S. population overall.

The same article cited the Henry J. Kaiser Family Foundation (KFF) assertion that “women accounted for more than a third of AIDS cases diagnosed among African Americans in 2006.” KFF is the same organization that hosted the aforementioned 2006 journalism conference where drug industry-funded panelists told journalists how to marginalize alleged denialists.

Professor Henry Bauer has shown that, for all available US demographics, people of African descent are on average 8-10 times more likely to test HIV positive than Caucasians. Since this has been the case for two decades now, this may also be an indication that the tests are racially biased.

The AIDS industry has accused Africa of being responsible for the original spread of HIV, that Africans enjoy “dry sex”, are more promiscuous than people on other continents, and hold voodoo beliefs about health, medicine, and healing. Ironically, Benin is one African country where voodoo still keeps HIV/AIDS mortality below two percent.

Although the World Health Organization (WHO) recently reported that the threat of a “heterosexual pandemic” of AIDS was over, AIDS activists still insist that millions are infected and dying from the “AIDS epidemic.” Despite the WHO report, the Congress intends to authorize another $50 Billion in new AIDS funding to Africa this year.

Of the aid package, House Foreign Affairs Committee Chairman Howard Berman declared, “We have a moral imperative to act and to act decisively.”

While critics lament the absence of research funding (it was ONLY $12.6 Billion FY 2006), it’s hard to know where that funding goes when drug companies don’t conduct tests or trials. The reluctance of funded researchers to accept, for example, the Perth Group’s modest request also becomes more understandable; and it could also explain their 21-year hostility toward Prof. Duesberg, Ms. Farber, and hundreds of other scientists, physicians, and journalists who try to report it to US Government officials (NIH, HHS, NIAID) who still refuse to listen.

In time, and if no one asks these critical questions, the drug companies may slowly wean their more sensible customers from toxins to life-saving placebos without losing funding. Eventually, ground celery seed capsules under the label of thiswontkillyouflex and sold for $500 a bottle could keep HIV+ patients and drug companies alive for more than a normal lifespan. If and when this occurs, the drug companies, scientists, and politicians could finally congratulate themselves for winning Dr. Gallo’s “War on AIDS.”

Analysis

In many ways, today’s HIV/AIDS industry resembles a mature termite colony.

In the years since HIV produced Dr. Gallo’s first egg, workers (administrators and researchers) have built a labyrinthine fortress of carton walls (research and facilities) to support the colony. While its soldiers defend the colony and king, Dr. Gallo and HIV are managed, groomed, and fed by the attending workers that surround, care for, and defend them.

At first glance, the fortress appears impenetrable and the dark interconnected passages too confusing to navigate. After more than twenty years and millions of pages of research and studies that are built upon Gallo’s original egg, no sane person could attempt to comprehend the infinite trivia without going mad. To argue against the mountains of interdependent self-supported HIV/AIDS minutiae requires terabytes of computational power and the tenacity of the world’s most obnoxious sports fans.

The key to the conundrum lies not with the carton walls, workers, soldiers, or the myriad unnavigable passages, but with Dr. Gallo’s original HIV declaration itself.

The principle of Occam’s razor states that the best explanation tends to be one that requires the fewest additional assumptions. Such an explanation invokes the fewest intermediate factors (i.e., 25 years of HIV/AIDS research) while maintaining its “predictive power”; that is, its ability to explain current data to predict future data. If we apply Occam’s razor and the Scientific Method, it is clear that the relationship of HIV/AIDS was never formally proven, and to assert that it is true until disproven is fallacious.

When asked which argument most strongly convinced him that HIV was not the cause of AIDS, Nobel laureate Kary Mullis replied, "The fact that there's no evidence for it."

One does not need to be a pharmaceutically-funded AIDS researcher to understand these questions. Occam’s razor and the Scientific Method are both taught in grade schools around the world. When the scientific world reacquaints itself with these principles and reestablishes the discipline to apply them, the queen will die and Gallo’s colony will collapse.

Of scientific consensus, Michael Crichton said:

“(T)he work of science has nothing whatever to do with consensus. Consensus is the business of politics. Science, on the contrary, requires only one investigator who happens to be right, which means that he or she has results that are verifiable by reference to the real world. In science consensus is irrelevant. What is relevant is reproducible results. The greatest scientists in history are great precisely because they broke with the consensus… There is no such thing as consensus science. If it’s consensus, it isn’t science. If it’s science, it isn’t consensus. Period.”

Conclusions

With millions of diagnosed and undiagnosed HIV+ men and women leading healthy and productive lives around the world without AIDS medication, this investigator is left with Prof. Duesberg’s lingering questions and Dr. Gallo’s hysterical defenders, who, this investigator has personally discovered, appear predisposed to use libelous and criminal tactics to silence those who ask questions. (see Epilogue)

These questions are not insignificant. No other science appears to be defended more aggressively than Dr. Gallo’s theory. If an investigator questions the curvature of the Earth, or the internal combustion engine, it’s hard to imagine NASA or Honda paying SPACETruth or HONDATruth advocates to defend either discipline. Indeed, both topics are clearly presented on public websites and libraries around the world without fear, intimidation, or the threat of lost grant funding. The idea that advocates would use criminal means to dissuade someone from investigating the internal combustion engine would seem preposterous; and yet, hundreds if not thousands of journalists, teachers, scientists, and ordinary individuals are routinely targeted by Dr. Gallo’s well-funded defenders.

Only one of two conclusions is possible:

This investigator has deliberately, unintentionally, or recklessly overlooked the answer to these fundamental questions to present an unsupportable conspiracy theory, complete with imaginary threats, emails, and phone calls memorialized in his 66-page police report and pending federal lawsuit, or;
The pharmaceutical companies are:

Using inaccurate, unverified testing protocols to claim people are infected with a retrovirus that has not been shown to cause harm but, they claim, could kill;
Inventing, manufacturing, and distributing toxins designed to disrupt normal cellular and enzymatic functions necessary to sustain life to fight the presence of a harmless passenger retrovirus;
Using those toxins to deliberately, unintentionally, or recklessly compromise what may otherwise be healthy immune systems, and;
Manipulating drug-caused illness and mortality statistics to maintain HIV/AIDS funding
Enlisting and paying uninformed but well-meaning celebrities to promote HIV testing and treatment to specific targets (gay community, low-income minorities, and third world populations) that are most vulnerable to seductive and high-pressure marketing strategies.

If the first conclusion is true, this investigator will continue to enjoy a long healthy life with his family and friends in Southern California.

If the second conclusion is true, America could eventually recover from the scandal: but it’s hard to calculate the impact of the needless suffering, death, lost confidence in American science and good will, class action lawsuits, lost shareholder value, product liability, the wasted energy and resources expended within our academic institutions, its effect in the international community and the US and global economies.

If the survivors of “Dr. Gallo’s Egg” sense that government agencies and drug companies took shortcuts that unnecessarily killed otherwise healthy people, like 13-year-old Ryan White, agencies, politicians, and the media will soon start pointing fingers to blame someone for igniting a human disaster that could make Enron and 9/11 look like garden-variety purse snatches and auto accidents. Families of those who suffered and died from the toxicity of drugs like AZT will want to attack politicians. Politicians will blame agencies for misleading them, and those agencies will blame previous administrations.

A backlash against media, and within, the gay community, could also result. The gay and lesbian media, community centers, and HIV/AIDS advocacy groups that employ thousands and profit from generous pharmaceutical sponsors and CDC grants for advertising, lavish event planning, hosting, and fundraising will end. Threatened by the loss of such funding, these organizations will be reluctant to close their doors to seek other employment.

Scientists will hide behind their research, doctors behind their hospitals, gays behind their physicians and clinics, politicians behind their constituents, and journalists behind their editors. The most obvious targets will be the drug companies that produced, distributed, and profited by selling known toxins throughout what may be nothing more than a 25-year sabbatical from the science.

The medical and academic members of Semmelweis Society International cannot be sure because those who insist that HIV is harmful still refuse to prove HIV’s connection to AIDS. What is not disputed are the poisonous properties listed on the labels of ALL FDA approved HIV/AIDS medications.

No one is competently required to prove the non-existence of Dr. Gallo HIV/AIDS theory. Prof. Duesberg raised questions about Gallo’s theory twenty years ago that Gallo and his defenders still refuse to answer. When Dr. Gallo and his defenders decide to prove that HIV exists, attacks white blood cells, and causes AIDS, their investment of ten months and $100,000 will finally put these questions to rest – as they should have been 24 years ago.

Based upon the evidence contained in this report, this investigator must agree with hundreds of reputable scientists and doctors who remain unconvinced that
Dr. Gallo’s retrovirus is real or has anything to do with the disease called AIDS.

Because of current conditions within the scientific community and pharmaceutical industry, exposing these witnesses as potential targets would serve no legitimate purpose. Epilogue

One of the most difficult aspects of this investigation has been to document and articulate the kind of attacks made by the AIDS industry’s core cadre of operatives. As explained by operatives Kuritzkes and Moore, their role is to silence minor inquiries and destroy serious threats. In my years of investigation, I have only been attacked by individuals who hoped to dissuade me from investigating their own criminal enterprises. In this case, email permits me to more easily identify the tactics used by these operatives.

Even before this report was completed, several individuals continued their personal attacks against me. My PI license was threatened, my computer security attacked, and I have been libeled by numerous “professionals” from various private and government agencies. The following emails will describe how insidious these attacks can be. As you read through them, consider how threatening these emails could be to a young physician, scientist, student, or teacher who dares to question these professional operatives.

Dr. James Murtagh used government servers at the Veterans Administration to pressure me to discontinue my investigation. When his efforts failed, he notified Brian Foley, PhD of the Los Alamos National Laboratory (LANL).

While being paid by US taxpayers, Dr. Foley used his influence from within the government facility to attack me through uninvolved third parties. He is supervised at LANL by fellow AIDSTruth operative Bette Korber, PhD.

I have also received more than 80 citizen and official commendations for my service as a US marine sergeant and police officer.

I was in Washington DC last May where I testified before Congress on pending whistleblower legislation. While there, I became aware, for the first time, of the HIV/AIDS dispute between those who believe Dr. Peter Duesberg HIV hypothesis, and those who believe Dr. Robert Gallo’s HIV hypothesis.

Before they were scheduled to testify, Dr. Duesberg and investigative reporter Celia Farber had been libeled by the Treatment Action Group as AIDS denialists - an epithet that suggests neither believe that AIDS exists. Because these Gallo-skeptics have been vilified as something on par with racists, homophobes, and worse, those who controlled the “No Fear Tribunals” suddenly became too afraid to allow their testimony to be heard. More than anyone else who testified that week, Duesberg and Farber deserved the time to testify about what they endured because of the organizational and individual behavior of TAG, AIDSTruth, and members of esteemed universities throughout the United States.

I testified about my own experiences as a whistleblower and left Washington hopeful that new legislation could protect individuals who asked relevant questions about publicly-funded expenditures.

I am deeply concerned that the Los Alamos National Laboratory would hire such individuals and I intend to proceed in a way that illuminates the conduct of both TAG and AIDSTruth membership. And if LANL refuses to investigate or otherwise whitewashes this complaint, I will make it my fulltime occupation to ensure that US taxpayers learn how their money is spent at LANL.

In law enforcement, when an officer commits perjury or lies during an investigation, he/she is correctly barred from being a police officer anywhere in the country, for such individuals have no credibility as investigators. Had Dr. Foley been caught doing this as a police officer, he would be flipping burgers tomorrow – if McDonalds could trust him.

As a disciplined investigator, Dr. Foley fell far below any standard as a scientist, as an investigator, and as a human being.

He is an ex LAPD cop. His connection to the Semmelweis society seems to have a few different roots, one being that he was supposedly released form the LAPD over a Rodney King type of excessive force incident. In 1991, I wrote an op-ed in the Los Angeles Daily News that suggested that the LA mayor and his police commission had created the policies that resulted in the violent arrest of Rodney King. Within weeks, I was falsely accused of my first excessive force complaint and was criminally charged, even though the suspect had no injuries and the LAPD cleared me in 1992. Despite that, I was criminally charged, convicted, sentenced, and fired from the LAPD. I returned to the LAPD in 1994 after the judge and prosecutors were found guilty of misconduct. Dr. James Murtagh, who gave Foley this information about me and has a copy of my appeal and knows better than to libel me. A PhD at LANL should have the ethical standard to check out the story before spreading false allegations by email to disinterested third parties. Based upon Foley’s conduct at this point, he has used US government servers and his position at LANL to deliberately libel me with the apparent intent to discredit me and interfere with my investigation. I expect a full inquiry at LANL by the Ombudsman of both Foley and his supervisor, AIDSTruth operative Dr. Bette Korber. Both are listed as “AIDSTruth team members” on the AIDSTruth website.

Foley’s July 12th email continues:

That is where he said something like "Although I am not gay, I have many friends who have died of AIDS, including this one" and the "this one" is a link to The Semmelweis Society International was a society to protect medical "whistleblowers" who were aledgedly blackballed by peer review after reporting on unsafe medical conditions. Of course not every doctor who was ever peer reviewed and found to be lacking in skills is falsely accused. Some are truly bad doctors. So it seems that at least one or two truly bad doctors got into the Semmelweis Society. And they are not all MDs there are a few chiropractors and others who just don't believe in infectious disease at all. Anyway, two members of Semmelweis awarded Peter Duesberg and Celia Farber the "clean hands award" for being whistleblowers, claiming that these two have uncovered massive fraud in HIV/AIDS research etc. when in fact both Duesberg and Farber are proven liars.

Clark was then apparently hired (although he claims to have done it for free) or he volunteered to do a private investigation to find out if HIV is harmless or not. But he seems to have not done much investigating, he just asked Celia what she thought, or something like that. His report is 100% copied form the standard virusmyth crap.
(This) report includes more than 100 citations from publications like PNAS and JAMA. The fact that websites like Virusmyth posts peer reviewed information is not in dispute. But to attack websites that collect and post peer-reviewed studies is disingenuous, at best. Dr. Foley’s suggestion that my 400+ hours of work consisted of plagiarizing or copying Ms. Farber is a libel and a direct attack on my professional reputation.
Anyway, given that your site claims you were once good friends, and his site claims you died of AIDS, I thought perhaps you might have some more insight into what is going on with Clark.

I have spent hundreds of hours on my investigation and report since June 11th. Before last May, I had never heard of Duesberg, Farber, or denialism. Like many Americans, I figured that HIV/AIDS was a “gay disease” and, except for the friends I’ve known (I’m also a former member of the Gay Men’s Chorus of Los Angeles), AIDS was not something that occupied my time or energy. So when I entered this investigation, I was as uninformed as anyone.

As I looked at the evidence against Duesberg and Farber, I found evidence of prevarication, subterfuge, libel, and criminal behavior on the Gallo side against that PNAS-published science of Duesberg’s side. I’m not sure, but the last time science was defended by unethical and criminal behavior was when the Pope enforced the wide “scientific consensus” that the Earth was the center of the universe. In that case, an uninformed Bohemian risked his life to suggest that the Earth orbited the sun, somewhere on the edge of the Milky Way.

Dr. Foley’s tactic was described by WSJ reporter Marilyn Chase who warned reporters not to unintentionally “exalt the position of denialists by making them seem like just some sort of independent intellectual contrarian whose views really should be heeded.”

At the same conference, TAG operative Dan Kuritzkes MD warned journalists that denialists like Peter Duesberg still work in universities and urged that they be denied access to students and reported to authorities whenever possible. Kuritzkes told his audience:
“If this happens in your neighborhood ask the university authorities why they allow this and then write about it.”
Remember that Foley spoke to days earlier. After I spoke to Foley by phone this evening, he recanted – somewhat (below).

(As I wrote to the LANL Ombudsman) Ms. Farber’s attorney… and I want to hear what LANL plans to do about Dr. Foley’s behavior and misappropriation of government resources and funding. I also want to know why the US government would hire AIDSTruth operatives to control their HIV databases and why scientists like Foley think its okay to libel others without checking the facts first. One of the points you made on the phone was why would PhDs or MDs care enough about this issue to deal with it in "blogs" etc and not just simply stick to the peer reviewed literature. It is because lives are at stake, it is not just a theoretical discussion such as is the Earth flat or round.
I’m certain that expectant mothers like Joyce Ann Hafford and children like Ryan White would agree with you, if they were still alive. Both were quite healthy until told to ingest black box HIV drugs.

My question was, specifically, why you and your AIDSTruth/TAG team members would answer Prof. Duesberg’s National Academy of Sciences Paper, supported by 196 peer-reviewed studies, with pharmaceutically-funded blogs like AIDSTruth and TAG, which vows not to engage in any public or private debate with AIDS denialists or respond to requests from journalists who overtly support AIDS denialist causes.

Junagadh, July 20 A 28-year-old woman, who was tested HIV positive a couple of months ago, committed suicide along with her one-and-a-half-year old daughter at Divarana village in Mangarol taluka on Saturday.

According to the police, the woman identified as Daksha hanged herself from a ceiling fan hook at her residence, while her daughter, Maushmi's body was recovered from a water tank in the house. The bodies were first spotted by the woman's husband Shailesh Patel, who immediately informed the police. Later, the police took possession of the bodies and sent them to the Jamnagar Medical College Hospital for postmortem.

A Shil town police officer said, "As the case is related to AIDS, the bodies have been sent to Jamnagar." The police further said that Daksha and her two daughters — Maushmi and Manasi (4) — had been living under constant stress after being tested positive. Daksha, a resident of Surat, had married Shailesh five years ago, who had tested HIV negative.

This poor woman took one of these tests and was diagnosed "positive" so she killed herself along with her baby daughter. They have therefore become an "AIDS" statistic. Now everyone can be sad for them because they died of "AIDS" as opposed to the truth, which is that they have been killed by the terror of a "positive" result from this fraudulent test, which is not specific, validated or even legal and which is known to yield up to 90%+ "false "positives", whatever the hell "positive" means, as it can't be for "HIV" at any rate as the test clearly does not detect any.

"HIV" tests are a murderous fraud.

The findings could help explain why AIDS has hit Africa harder than all other parts of the world.

People with the version of the gene have a 40 percent higher risk of becoming infected with the human immunodeficiency virus, or HIV, researchers in the United States and Britain wrote in the journal Cell Host & Microbe.

In Africa, the gene variant may account for 11 percent of HIV infections, the researchers said.

NEW YORK (Reuters) - Swiss pharmaceutical company Roche Holding AG will suspend its HIV research because none of its pending medicines represent significant improvement over existing drugs, a company spokeswoman said on Friday.

"Research scientists currently working in HIV will be reassigned to other activities," Linda Dyson, a spokeswoman in Roche's U.S. office in New Jersey, said in an e-mail.

Dyson confirmed an e-mail sent on Wednesday to some activists informing them of the decision. In that e-mail, the company said it "decided to refocus our resources within virology on diseases in which we can deliver substantial improvements over existing medications."

Dyson declined to specify how much Roche has been investing in HIV research.

She also said she could not specify how many employees worked in the HIV research division. Roche employs 5,000 people in the U.S. and 3,000 in its New Jersey office.

The company said in the e-mail to some activists that it initially had been excited about the potential for drugs in pre-clinical testing, but it has "concluded that none would provide a true incremental benefit for patients compared to medicines currently on the market."

Roche said it would continue to support its molecular diagnostic tests and drugs already on the market, including the fusion-inhibitor Fuzeon.

Roche has partnered with Morrisville, North Carolina-based biotech Trimeris Inc to sell Fuzeon, which netted $266.8 million in sales last year.

THE Senate is near to pass ing a massive $50 billion Emergency Plan for HIV/ AIDS Relief - a bill whose priorities are based on myth, just like virtually all anti-AIDS efforts worldwide.

The world's top AIDS bureaucrat recently admitted the truth: "It is very unlikely that there will be a heterosexual epidemic" outside Africa, Kevin de Cock, director of the World Health Organization, told London's Independent newspaper. His bosses at the United Nations issued an official denial - but couldn't truly challenge his science.

The effort to "democratize" AIDS dates back to the mid-1980s, when the media and health officials began a desperate and concerted effort to divert attention and make it seem everyone was at risk. The 1985 Life magazine cover, blaring "NOW NO ONE IS SAFE FROM AIDS" in huge red letters, represents this effort. Surgeon General Everett Koop coined the term "heterosexual AIDS explosion" in 1987, while in 1993 HHS Secretary Donna Shalala told Congress that AIDS may leave "nobody left."

Even today, the Centers for Disease Control's HIV/AIDS Web site refuses to acknowledge any difference in the risks of AIDS between anal, vaginal or oral sex.

Peter Piot, now executive director of UNAIDS, warned as late as 1997 that "HIV will cut through Asian populations like a hot knife through cold butter." UNAIDS's 2001 estimate had 30 million infected adults in sub-Saharan Africa.

Last year, the UN had to cut that Africa figure by almost half - and drop its Asia number by 38 percent from just the year before. Dr. James Chin, a former top AIDS epidemiologist at the World Health Organziation, has long declared the UN figures to be to too high and insists they still are.

In fact, there was never any indication AIDS had or would "break out" from the well-defined risk-behavior groups, as I was writing as far back as 1987 and in my 1990 book "The Myth of Heterosexual AIDS."

I'm no Nostradamus. I merely analyzed public data and studies showing how terribly difficult the disease is to transmit vaginally or orally. But the myths are still the basis for AIDS policy.

The group Fair Allocations in Research compiles statistics on federal spending to fight various diseases, compared to how many Americans each disease kills. Measured that way, we spend 21 times as much on AIDS as cancer - and 78 times what we spend on coronary artery disease, 97 times anti-stroke spending.

Plus, the Ryan White Act mandates taxpayer handouts to HIV/AIDS victims of about $1.2 billion a year. We have no remotely similar program for victims of any other disease.

The same official grotesque distortion holds internationally. Chin charges that the United Nations puts HIV/AIDS victims on a pedestal while other disease victims stay submerged in deadly muck.

Robert England (who heads the charity Health Systems Workshop) recently made the same point in the British Medical Journal: "Although HIV causes 3.7 percent of [worldwide] mortality, it receives 25 percent of international health-care aid."

"In the fight against AIDS, profiteering has trumped prevention," declared Sam L. Ruteikara, co-chair of Uganda's National AIDS-Prevention Committee, in a Washington Post essay this week. "AIDS is no longer simply a disease; it has become a multibillion-dollar industry."

Consider: A 2008 WHO/UNAIDS/UNICEF report demands AIDS drugs for every victim worldwide, requiring spending hikes from $8.1 billion now to $35 billion by 2010. Yet AIDS remains incurable. Conversely, an African with non-resistant tuberculosis is curable with merely $25 of drugs.

"Easily preventable diseases are still killing millions of children each year, while billions of dollars are being squandered annually by AIDS programs . . . who are not at risk," says Chin. (Yes, the Senate bill funds anti-TB and -malaria programs - but not anything like its anti-AIDS spending.)

The skewed priorities even hurt AIDS efforts. "UNAIDS' perpetuation of the myth that everyone is at risk of AIDS has led to billions wasted on prevention programs," Chin insists. "Insufficient outreach programs for those in the highest-risk population have clearly led to infections that could have been prevented."

Ruteikara says, "The proportion of Ugandans infected with HIV plunged from 21 percent in 1991 to 6 percent in 2002. But international AIDS experts who came to Uganda said we were wrong to try to limit people's sexual freedom. Worse, they had the financial power to force their casual-sex agendas upon us." And now, "as fidelity and abstinence have been subverted, Uganda's HIV rates have begun to tick back up."

There is no precedent in history for such myth-driven "democratization" of a disease, nor for the abominable unfairness in allocating funds away from so many curable illnesses. Says England: "We have created a monster with too many vested interests and reputations at stake."

NEW YORK, USA, July 2, 2008/African Press Organization (APO)/ — The UN’s specialist AIDS advocacy body - has systematically misrepresented the true nature of the AIDS pandemic, resulting in billions of dollars of wasted spending, according to a new report from the Campaign for Fighting Diseases.

According to report author Professor James Chin, UNAIDS has exaggerated the size and trend of the AIDS pandemic, and has over-hyped the potential for HIV in ‘general’ heterosexual populations outside of sub Saharan Africa.

Prof Chin was the epidemiologist who helped the World Health Organization design global AIDS surveillance methods in the 1980s, and is one of the world’s leading experts on the pandemic.

His report accuses UNAIDS of misleading the public by promoting the myth that everyone in the world is at risk from the pandemic. Outside of sub-Saharan Africa, extensive HIV transmission in heterosexual populations has not occurred, except in large commercial sex networks.

As a result this advocacy, some $5bn have been wasted since 2003 on providing prevention programmes for populations at almost no risk of HIV, such as school children and youth outside of sub-Saharan Africa. This figure now stands at $1bn per year and increasing.

These sums could be more usefully spent on targeting prevention programmes at those most at risk of HIV, including injecting drug users, gay men, and sex workers; or on trying to prevent the annual four million child deaths from easily preventable diseases such as measles.

Prof Chin stated: “UNAIDS is apparently concerned that support to AIDS programs might be reduced if HIV remains concentrated in the highest HIV-risk populations. UNAIDS continues to perpetuate the myth of “generalized” HIV epidemics to keep AIDS high on the political agenda, but it is resulting in billions of dollars of misdirected spending.”

Hundreds of people were incorrectly told they had tested positive for HIV at New York City STD clinics this winter.

Almost half the results given by the clinics were false positives, the Department of Health confirmed.

From November to April, 213 people tested positive after taking a rapid mouth-swab HIV test. A second test revealed they did not have the virus.

The city would not explain why, as false positives mounted, it continued to administer the tests.

“Sir, In the May 9 issue of The Lancet, Round the World correspondents discussed AIDS-associated problems in former Eastern bloc countries…I would like to emphasize another alarming concern – namely, the rapid growth in false-positive HIV tests in the former USSR, and in Russia especially. R+B singer KELLY ROWLAND will undergo a HIV and Aids test in Africa to raise awareness of the deadly diseases - in a bid to try and dissolve the stigma surrounding the illnesses.

-So they supposedly are not aware of that which according to the same sources, is supposedly decimating them? They need a washed-up American teeny-sex-kitten-pop star to tell them that?

The former Destiny's Child star decided to visit Nairobi to encourage the country's young people to get tested for the illness, which is rife in the Kenyan capital.

-Illness? Which one? The one produced by lack of clean water and malnutrition? Does she know that diarrhea is enough to get you the "AIDS" label in Africa? Do they actually use HIV tests in Africa to dish out 'AIDS" labels to people? If so, does she know which ones they use? Are they specific? Have they been validated?
Which one did she take?

Rowland is an ambassador for MTV's Staying Alive Foundation, which aims to reduce discrimination against HIV and Aids victims, and has visited projects in Tanzania and Kenya to promote the charity.

Oh, the promotion of another "AIDS" charity!! I thought so. The Staying Alive Foundation? How groovy!! Who founded this the Bee Gees?

I thought that it was weird o go promote "HIV testing" in Africa, when in Africa we all know that not tests are even necessary...so she went to promote her "AIDS Charity".

Does this one support the BAN on vitamin trials and only endorse toxic "black-box label" medication for Africans too?

She says, "Ignorance is not bliss when it comes to HIV infection, and it is important for everyone to know their HIV status.

Franklin Primary Health Center Inc. will offer free HIV/AIDS testing on National HIV Testing Day, which is Friday. Testing will begin at 9:30 a.m. at the Medical Mall at 1303 Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Avenue.

The first 50 people who come in, take a quiz and get the HIV test will receive a gift certificates for free gas at Griffith Shell, 1262 Government St. Wal-Mart gift cards and other prizes will also be awarded.

"The goal for this day," said Tyloria Crenshaw, HIV Coordinator at Franklin, "is to get people tested, so they will know their status, get into treatment and protect themselves and those they love."

South Alabama CARES will hold a candlelight vigil in Cathedral Square at 9 that evening, to remember those who have lost their lives in this pandemic. They will also conduct free HIV testing from 9 p.m. to midnight. For information, call Crenshaw at 436-7665.

Other agencies participating are the Mobile County Health Department, South Alabama CARES, the Mobile County HIV/AIDS Direct Care Consortia and the Mobile AIDS Coalition.

People are actually challenging the out of touch claims and the propaganda spun by those who seem to think that they have real authority on these subjects. So Bob gets angry.

Bob is an "artist", a musician and actor, at least that what the information available on the Internet says, still this does not stop him from writing with total authority on such issues, which would be fine I he were not doing it all under the banner of "anti-denialism". He is attacking and slandering those who question by calling them "denialists" and equating them with "holocaust denial". His use of this label is also affirming the fevered religious nature of his argument, as opposed to the scientific or simply the clear headed.

Must he incessantly cry "heresy" to make his point? It seems so...

After listing the questions people have raised in their posts in a dismissive manner, he takes the high moral ground, claims absolute authority and he retorts back with a tirade, which reads like the journalistic equivalent of a Bonnie Langford (Violet from the classic 60's kids show Just William) moment:

Two days ago, I wrote about a recent survey that showed that Americans' concern over global climate change had decreased over the last 12 months, and urged the Obama campaign to make it a much bigger priority than it has. Though I did not anticipate this would be a controversial argument, as of now the post has over 300 comments. Even more surprising is the number of commenters who assert that global warming is either a myth or a conspiracy. To cite just a few: * "If you're lucky to live long enough, you'll see a lot of these "scares" come and go throughout your lifetime. This is just the latest. When the next one comes the chanting crowd will move over and attach itself to it." * "In a few more years Global Warming will be shown to be the scam and money making scheme that many already know it to be. I'm not going to argue degrees and post link after link showing the falsehoods." * "Green house gases are a myth. A volcano puts out more green house gases with one eruption than the US puts out in 3 years. Get a new cause - check your facts." * "All this hysteria about global warming is a ruse to allow governments to tax us more." * "Americans are finally coming out of the ether. Slowly we are realizing "man made" global warming is one of the greatest lies told to the world. More and more scientist are coming forward with the truth about the flawed science behind it. I'm, as I have been ALL my life, am proud of this country!! We are the best at thinking for ourselves." There are many more. And these are from readers of The Huffington Post, a group I would have thought would be among the best informed. However, Huffington Post readers are likely among those Americans who get most of their news from the Internet, and these responses highlight the complex impact of the Internet on public opinion.

-Your “opinion” is found on the Internet too. So, the same criteria would apply to you too I presume?

These commenter are for the most part not uninformed but rather misinformed.

-Your “opinion” again. Your statement of “opinion” is based on what "authority? How misinformed?

And what about vested interests? Don't they count? Many have vested interests in these causes, where huge sums of money are granted to practically anyone claiming to be an activist organisation fighting to save the world or lives. AIDS is a classic example of this, where you have many organisation who receive huge amounts of money from the Pharma industry. Just look at the sponsors for an AIDS conference, or any AIDS event. They always look more like a "Pharma" event more than an "AIDS" one.

No, I think we are rather well informed on many things that you do not seem to be.

They can cite a combination of research that was well-done but is out of date, research that was well-done but has been misinterpreted, research that was badly done, and weird conspiracy theories, all with the support of key conservative institutions and pundits.

-Here are two statements based on "reserch" posted over at Hank Barnes Blog. They are by two leading "AIDS" figures, none of whom are "denialists" though I admit I don't know if they are "conservatives":

"HIV is unquestionably transmitted through heterosexual intercourse. Indeed, heterosexual intercourse is now responsible for 70-80% of all HIV transmissions worldwide"

These statements come from two people who are in the same camp. The camp you say is the "right" one to believe and which you seem to be representing. Why don't you explain this, instead of calling names those who see this and logically think: Holy Sh*t!! Which one is it?

It is an important reminder that when we discuss how to mobilize our country on the issue of climate change, we must reckon not only with educating the uneducated and mobilizing the inactive, we must also reckon with a surprisingly large group of the active, vocal and miseducated.

-Political paranoia apart, with what “authority” do you present yourself as someone who has it "right" whilst all the rest who disagree have it “wrong”? For every study you present to make your case, there are 20 more that will demolish it. Are you a climatologist or a retrovirologist as well as an artist and journalist?

The whole stance of climate change denialists has uncanny parallels to that of AIDS denialists, who deny that HIV causes AIDS.

-Yes the most striking one being the use of the word “denialist” by both groups who defend the baloney, to equate any questioning and skepticism with ”holocaust denial". That is the most glaring example of that parallel.

The causative role of HIV in the development of AIDS has been established and is the subject of scientific consensus.

-Now who is out of touch? Wrong! There was never, nor is there now a scientific consensus on "HIV" causing "AIDS", whatever those terms mean.

The false scientific consensus on "aids" was shattered last week when Kevin De Cock of the who said Heterosexual AIDS was OVER was over. With that, the phony “consensus” you talk of was shattered on all fronts, scientifically, politically and journalistically as well.

Denialist arguments are considered to be the result of cherry-picking and misrepresentation of predominantly outdated scientific data, with the potential to endanger public health by dissuading people from utilizing proven treatments.

-“Considered” by whom? I will deal with the idea of “endangerment” later...

With the rejection of these arguments by the scientific community, AIDS denialist material is currently spread largely through the Internet. (Wikipedia)

-it is everywhere not just on Wikipedia. There are books and documentaries too. There is 25 years of material on this topic, on which you claim there has been a “consensus”.

This is a group with whom I have had extensive experience, as they have had a very public activist presence here in my home town of San Francisco. As with climate change denialists, AIDS denialists piece together their arguments from misinterpretations of valid scientific papers, from the comments of respected scientists venturing out of their specialty and writing in non-peer reviewed journals, and the political support of conservative institutions. And again, as with climate change denialism, the whole package gets its momentum and false air of rigor from being endlessly circulated on the Internet.

-The mainstream media censors any open questioning, so the internet is where one can find all arguments, both sides of the coin are there. So, maybe it is through the internet that one can get a clear picture of the truth here. To suggest that you are the only one offering it is ridiculous.

Are aidstruth not on the internet too? And you. Where do you think we read you? You use the medium, but also criticize it on the grounds that it does not give you and your chums from the "email aidstruth group" sole clout.

Here on the internet you have to actually debate, as opposed to just dictate, as you do on the msm. That is really why you are so furious with the internet. You try and invalidate it because it does not just give you and yours alone the space to dictate, but puts you out there, so people can answer you and question you. Why are you so scared of that?

What is most remarkable about AIDS denialism is how it has persevered through 25 years of the epidemic. In the early days of the AIDS epidemic, many of the arguments were not so far-fetched. But in 1996-1997, the course of the epidemic changed with the introduction of highly effective medications. People who started taking the medications stopped dying.

-There's a good bit of Orwellian “doublethink/newspeak".

People did not stop dying when the new "lifesaving" but "toxic black-box label" drug cocktail was invented.

People stopped dying when mono-therapy AZT was not given anymore to all and sundry who tested "positive" with that highly questionable, totally non-specific-non-validated, so called "HIV" test, which detects nothing specific to "HIV" and everything else besides.

Azt was given to people at three times the dose it had been shown and known to kill anything or anyone that took it. We all saw our friends die from that. Healthy men who came home with a "diagnosis" and a bag of AZT pills, who took them and shrivelled up and died right in front of our incredulous eyes.

That is why people stopped dying.

One would have thought that would have ended the debate. Incredibly, it did not. In fact, many denialists clung to their misunderstandings right through their own deaths – deaths that in many cases could have been avoided had the deceased taken HIV medications that were readily available to them. Ken Anderlini was a co-moderator of the "AIDS Myth Exposed" message board on MSN. Anderlini died in April of 2007. A fellow denialist wrote a death announcement saying: "Over the past couple of years his health had declined rapidly with a strange neurological disease for which nobody could pinpoint the cause (except doctors who claimed it was HIV related, of course)." Another denialist activist, Michael Bellafontaine died on May 10, 2007. His obituary reported that "According to Andrea Lindsay, a friend and fellow activist, Mr. Bellefountaine died of a sudden systemic infection, though the exact cause has not been determined." (AIDSTruth.org has a web page that tracks the deaths of AIDS denialists.)

-Aidstruth.org? The “leaderless-email group of “doctors” and "hobbyists” according to Nick Bennett, one of its leading members? That Aidstruth?

Well, forgive us for not putting our lives in their hands, but somehow, I for one just don't trust them.

Some leading sceptics have been doing just that, dedicating all their time and effort to look into this issue, how have these people less authority and credibility than the aidstruth gang? On what grounds? How?

How are these people at Aidstruth.org an authority on aids? How are our lives best served by the “opinions” of a group of chums who email each other, according to you? How?

How about that for public endangerment?

The spectacle of AIDS denialists clinging to their views right through their own illnesses and up to their very deaths does not bode well for the future of debate on global climate change.

-Right now the true spectacle is the one offered by people like Aidstruth.org and yourself, who seem to think that throwing wobblies slandering, taking the high moral ground, claiming authority, consensus, superiority, ignoring facts, denigrating the dead, claiming you know what they really died of…

Now that is one hell of a spectacle. Yes!

Many of us have been asking ourselves at what point the effects of climate change will be so obvious that debate over the basic facts of the matter will finally cease. The course of AIDS denialism suggests that the answer to the question might be never.

People have every right to question because they actually pay money, tax contributions that goes into these "unproven" and at times, insultingly outlandish theories. Everyone pays, sceptics are not exempt, so on those grounds alone, your tone and choice of words describing them as "denialists" are totally out of order. So if you want to be taken seriously you should consider dropping the Bernardo Gui attitude.

You should also stop protesting because people are refusing to listen to you and your chums from Aidstruth.org, after all, neither you nor they have any real "authority" here, all you are entitled to is an "opinion". Stop calling people names just because they are refusing to believe your opinion anymore and are asking questions.

There would be those today who will recoil in horror at the news that Anthony Fauci has just received the Presidential Medal of Freedom from the President of the United States.

Not me.

This is great news. This heralds what many of us have been predicting for a while now, that the top brass in AIDS machine are pulling out. This announces the American Government’s planned and strategic abandoning of the AIDS stage. How?

By the political “Beatification” of Fauci, who represents the American Government. I presume the same thing will follow with Gallo too, maybe they have already done it and I missed it. If they are guilty, then so is the government. If they are saints, then the government is too. Simple. Much like Dominic de Guzmán for the Roman Catholic Church, same principle applies here: if Dominic de Guzmán is a saint, then the Inquisition and the Albigensian genocide is “holy” too.

Ain’t that clever?

Of course all those who still want to believe that this is not over, will protest that I see this wrong. There will be those on both sides of this argument who still maintain that this is not over yet. The activists, who for all intents a purposes are now left alone holding the bag, will claim “Vittoria” whilst some quarters of dissent, who cannot accept that we are not the ones bringing down the parts that are falling, but it is the AIDS machine that is self destructing, will say: "there, you see?".

Of course pressure has helped, as has the tenacity and courage of many who have risked all to expose the AIDS lie, culminating in a ceremony in Washington last month where Dr. Peter Duesberg and Celia Farber were honoured by Semmelweiss Society for their work. However, now the destruction of the “paradigm from hell” is being done by the "powers that be" themselves. They have had this planned for a while now. It has been more than obvious to those that wanted to see it.

AIDS has run its course. Power is pulling out. The activists, personalities like Tutu in South Africa, the brain-dead pop stars and film stars; who would all have to actually sing, act AND sell if they did not have AIDS, are now alone, and of course big pharma is still there too. But The WHO is out and so is the government.

AIDS Babylon. Are you confused?

Well, who wouldn't be? The confusion is on purpose though. After a series of atomic revelations over the last year that have left the devotees reeling and the skeptics trilling, finally last week the WHO’s stunning admission last week that heterosexual AIDS was OVER; what a word: OVER. De Cock used that himself. A day later Brendan O’Neill also letting rip in The Guardian, it was our friend Dan who noticed that all the language in the press was referring to "AIDS" in past tense; like AIDS “was”, “was not”… the press is full of it.

You check the list of backtracking over the lat year all detailed on Dan's blog, from the reduced figures for African and Indian "AIDS", the failure of the "AIDS vaccine, to the call for UNAIDS to be disbanded, the De Cock WHO statement, Peter Piot head of UNAIDS resigns. Add to that the fact that AIDSTruth members like JP Moore and Mark Wainberg have disappeared, Nick Bennett has declared AIDSTruth an email club for "AIDS" hobbyists, who now seem to be diversifying into the "Global Warming" field of activism. Aetiology has become a weather blog and Tara blogsphere's favourite weather girl.

So, in view of this royal mess, within that context, a ceremony of pomp to celebrate a political beatification is not only logical, but obligatory. It is an act to save face.

It is also worth remembering back the last World AIDS Day, when we were all so horrified to see that show. It looked like the AIDS machine was in optimum form. Enter Aurdy Serrano!!! Then look what came six months later!! So after all these cataclysmic events we have just lived through, it is time for another show, that works on various levels all at once. Just like the one put on, on World AIDS Day. It helps create confusion whilst the powers that be manoeuvre.

They are pulling out. Bring on the "Divine"!

AidsTruth According To "Doctor" Nick Bennett

After questioning Nick Bennett of AidsTruth over several days, (Links to the full exchange are here & here) we've discovered the following:

Nick Bennett is not an Aids specialist. He does not see, diagnose or treat people given the phony Aids diagnosis. He does not work in the field.

Nevertheless, he gives advice, counsel, guidance on this very subject, as well as libel, insult and presents an authoritative, un-debatable decree on his website, claiming to be an expert in the field, a "double doc."

This constitutes fraud.

He is a resident (in training) at a hospital in upstate New York. He claims and is willing to give some evidence that he work in Pediatrics. Again, he doesn't research Aids or work in the field. He is a hobbyist.

He does no independent research of any kind into the topics, stories, events and people he attacks, libels and denigrates. He does not seek to confirm any story that troubles his belief in the Aids paradigm. He dismisses any evidence, story, event, statement, or piece of information that contradicts his belief as a "lie."

He refuses any invitation to open, moderated public debate.

He doesn't seem to care, even a little, when people are sickened, harmed, or killed by Aids drugs. He does not seem to care, even a little, when children are used in experiments with drugs that cause permanent disability and death.

He states that any children who are sickened or killed by toxic Black Box labeled drugs, were as good as dead anyway, because he has assigned them the highly questionable and phony "Aids" label.

This is a position that allows him to justify murder.

He is a member of a group of people, "Aidstruth," devoted to libeling, slandering, and causing economic harm to any researcher, doctor, scientist or individual in any field, who dares to differ publicly with the phony Aids paradigm.

He claims to have been invited into this group by "no one," and that it is an "email club" for the most part, which posts its claims against its targets with un-debatable and unquestionable authority. Those who beg or dare to differ are called "denialists" as in "holocaust denialists."

He therefore asks us to believe that the BBC, and other news organizations, and the South African courts would just capitulate to the pressure of an "informal, leaderless email group."

In practice, Aidstruth is a political action committee, not concerned with science, the scientific process, ethics, humanitarian needs, human rights, civil rights, or international law. It acts like the street arm of a larger mafia, for whom it does the dirty work.

We cannot determine the following from his responses:

Where does Aidstruth get its funding?
What is its relationship with the South African TAC (whose membership includes Aidstruth member Nathan Geffen)?
Who does Aidstruth represent?

He is committing libel and fraud. He has no right to hold the positions he does nor has he any real authoritative power. They are his opinions. They are not "truths." Bennett should own them as such, or risk lawsuit. He is guilty of what he and Aidstruth accuse all those who question the phony Aids paradigm of doing:

He is endangering lives by taking advantage of the public's willingness to believe those who claim medical authority.

Mark Wainberg, another "vanished" AidsTruth member called for legislation, in that now infamous diatribe that can be seen in Robin Scovill's film The Other Side Of AIDS. I agree that we should be protected against such endangerment. If this is not a glaring example of that, then I don't know what is. I say though that it is not Duesberg or Farber that should be in jail. It is them.

C) Are there any micronutrient studies that improve the health of people given the clinical, subjective and non-standardized faux-diagnosis of "Aids?"

If not, what is the probability that a reactive "hiv test" represent a "true positive" when you take it and have a "reactive" test?

The BBC, having ignored the latest admissions of LIES by the World Health Organisation's AIDS machine, the BBC either seems to be oblivious of the fact that the AIDS machine is under question right now, for 25 years of lies, after Kevin De Cock's admission that WHO had LIED about heterosexual AIDS ever having been a real threat published by The Independent.

They report on this news implying it is some sort of "victory" for common sense prevailing on "AIDS" in Africa. The last piece of EXTREMELY IMPORTANT news on "AIDS" before this one for the BBC, was that Madonna and Sharon (Karma) Stone were in Cannes playing AIDS whores. This news for the BBC was far more important that the WHO admission of LIES that heterosexual AIDS never even was!

In fact, when one runs over all the reporting on AIDS the BBC has run in the last year alone, it is not difficult to see that AIDS reporting is strictly limited to scaremongering, AIDS banalities and AIDS machine propaganda. The BBC always seems there to help out AIDSTruth when they are in a tight spot, such as they were with Liam Scheff's The Guinea Pig Kids documentary controversy, when they apologised for supposed "errors" in the documentary, probably after JP Moore sent them one of those emails he likes to send about this being a war and how he is going to crush everyone who stands in his way.

Now after TOTALLY IGNORING the latest monumental pieces of REAL NEWS on AIDS, the BBC comes back with a piece like this one today, just like AIDSTruth have, after a deathly silence these last few days. They report this as if it were something other than nonsensical, and to people this is totally nonsensical, hideous even, especially in the light of the latest revelation and lies. We are supposed to sigh in relief that an African judge has declared that Vitamins kill but AZT doesn't. AZT is good. Good God!!

It is alarming how much the BBC seems to be ignorant of the fact, that right now, when one filters this news through the general aura of SLEAZE that has been admitted officially these last few days, not just by De Cock but others as well such as in The Guardian article from last week, people actually see this for what it is: TERRIBLE, CRUEL and NONSENSICAL!!

The relentless politicisation and moralisation of Aids has not only distorted public understanding of the disease and generated unnecessary fear and angst – it has also potentially cost lives. James Chin estimates that UNAIDS wastes around $1bn a year in activities such as "raising awareness" about Aids and preventing the emergence of the disease in communities that are at little risk. How many lives could that kind of money save, if it were used to develop drugs and deliver them to infected or at-risk communities? It is time people treated Aids as a normal disease, rather than as an opportunity for spreading their own moral agendas.
